I always interpreted Max exhibiting clear signs of depression and suicidal ideation (having a plan, writing letters etc), and Vecna is clearly a metaphor for that. Max had to choose to keep going, keep running, and realize that as painful as her life has been, her death would be devastating for her friends and she is worth fighting for. So powerful. I hope the Duffers, cast and crew know they have probably saved a lot of lives with this season and this scene alone.

I half expected your Scottish behind to fall out of the chair! I love how well Stranger Things balances comedy, horror, action and drama! In case you didn't catch it the actor who played old Victor Creel was the OG Freddy Krueger actor, a pretty cool cameo. Also crazy how this one episode sent a nearly 40 year old song to the top of the charts and is more popular than it was in the 80s!

Honestly if there wasn't a couch behind me I would have! There's defo a moment in an upcoming ST episode where I do vacate my chair but its a good moment, not a bad one hahaha! I didn't know that about the actor!! Thanks for the behind the scenes info :D and commenting and watching!

@@WeeLassReacts The whole ending of this episode with Max was intense! Vacating your chair is one thing and I don't want to oversell it but I have a feeling at the season finale your soul may nope out and vacate your body. Let's just hope Vecna doesn't snatch it up.

I still simply don't understand how Sadie didn't win an Oscar, or at least an Emmy for her performance in this episode. SHE WAS ROBBED, there's no other word for it. I hope with all my heart that one day she works in a famous or big series or movie, alongside other famous and recognized actors, because only then will she gain the recognition she deserves. I think it's cool and incredible that she's building her career little by little. But she needs a little boost to achieve the recognition she deserves. Because many people only see her as a beautiful woman, and the girl who plays Max, and not as the incredible and talented actress that she is. I really hope that one day she finally wins an Emmy to make up for the Emmy that was stolen from her in 2022 by other people who didn't deserve it, or didn't try hard enough to deserve it. These awards are very stolen and unfair. But I know that one day she will get it. As a big fan of hers, I really wish her all the best, because she is incredible. Both as an actress and as a person. Anyway, it was a huge text, but I really think that Sadie should have at least been nominated for some award for this episode. It's simply unfair. Even though it's been 2 years.

Love this episode, even though it was extremely stress inducing. My emotion level turned up to 11, so much so that my roomie started knocking on my door asking if I was "OK". I assured her I was fine and why I was so vocal. She didn't realize that season 4 dropped and said she was going to start watching immediately. Fast Forward several hours later, I hear my roomie yelling from her room. I went out to the hall and waited a couple of minutes. When she came out of her room, she was shaken. All she said to me was, " At least Max is alive" with a half sobbing, half laughing voice.

Sorry this is long 🙃 I know Max's trauma is tough for you to watch, as are the gore scenes, so thank you for being brave to watch and even more brave to show us. I've been waiting for your reaction to this episode. When I saw that you'd released it, I was out running errands. I got back about an hour after you had released it, but I had a lot of things to do and I didn't want to be interrupted...so I had to wait to watch...and I guess it was kinda like how you wanted to watch this episode so badly but couldn't. It was just sitting there, beaming out at me, begging me to watch it. Totally.Worth.The.Wait. I really think the extra time (due to the Vid19) that they had to wait to make this season allowed for them to improve every aspect. The kids all aged 2 years and became better actors and it shows. I think almost every "kid" gets a speech moment this season like how Max, Robin, and Lucas all did (to some extent) in this episode. Many people feel Sadie Sink (Max) should get nominated for an acting award for this episode, let alone the entire season. The soundtrack has helped boom several of the featured songs, but none more than Running Up That Hill by Kate Bush. A song in the finale (mentioned elsewhere by another commentor) also got a boost, but not quite to the extent this song does (heck, Kate Bush's song is in all sorts of "stories" on IG.) Loved your reaction. Thank you for your bravery. Loch Sloy! ~Be Blessed

Thank you so much Aliwant!! I'm happy you were eager for this episode, it absolutely tore me apart, I cried editing it and when I watched it back (to check for editing issues) hahaha, yeah you know this one was hard for me to stomach, and if Max has more moments like this before the end of this season, they'll be just as difficult for me! Thank you so much for your support and I agree Sadie Sink should be nominated for something, the fact she wasn't nominated for an Emmy is criminal!!

These episodes were tough to watch the first time but watching your reactions I'm glad I was prepared because I'm ahead of you in the episodes.... Also, damn the writers, directors, actors and the whole production crew for producing such a high-quality show that has us all so invested in the characters. And Hamish doesn't mind your tears, he is there to collect them. Stay strong.

I just discovered your ST reactions tonight. I was going to only watch one or two, but you really are invested and it makes me all invested in it all over again. It's like 3am here (in the Midwest, USA) but I had to at least watch through this episode. Wanted to tell you, one Tam (my nickname growing up was Tammy) to another, it was the same for me. That relief and release of tears after we knew she was safe. That emotional build-up was just so incredible. The Duffer Brothers and their entire team (from writers, to costumes and make-up, to cinematography, etc.) deserve every award they win for this Season. Need sleep, but will be back this weekend to watch the rest of your reactions to Season 4!

There is a wierd juxtaposition for me with Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill for me. I think I might have heard it the first time after watching Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer as a kid because I was getting memory flashes of that movie every time it played. And of course now I associate it with keeping Max grounded in reality. I've been in Lucas' shoes here. Desperate to get someone to just talk to me. To let me be there for them and his delivery was amazing.

I'm glad you're getting more out of this channel Michael :D I relate very hard to Max, I lost my little brother this year to suicide and I've spent every second from the moment we buried him wrecked with guilt, wondering if I'd been a better sister maybe he'd still be here. To say I related to Max would be a colossal understatement, thats probably why this episode hit me so damn hard, I promise these reactions are genuine, especially the crying. I felt like if Max had died in this episode, a bit of me would have gone with her. I promise I can go to the cinema and sit still and NOT react like this, however, this is what I am doing inside. The great thing about this channel is being able to let all this out and not bottle it up.

If your goal with this channel is to be fully you and connect with people around the world, do exactly what you want to do and be happiest. But, in my opinion(!!), your personality and the quality of your editing is great enough for you to have at least five times as many views and ten times as many subscribers. It’s the pausing for me. We actually paused during episode 8 to talk at length about makeup during an extremely tense scene! I tried to keep watching your reactions because I like you, but the pausing was so frustrating that I stopped. I’m going to subscribe, though, because if you cut the pausing down in the future, I could see this being one of my favorite channels. (Unsolicited advice, I know. Guy telling gal what she “should” do, I know. Drag me for both.)
@WeeLassReacts2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Julian I appreciate the feedback and the style in which you gave it! Unfortunately the pausing will be staying around, I know irs not everyone's cup of tea but I've had way more positive feedback over it than I've had negative, a lot of people wish others would pause more otherwise they miss things because they were talking over the show. So it won't be going away anytime soon

@@WeeLassReacts yeah, I also hate when people miss stuff when they talk over the subsequent parts. That makes sense. You don’t miss anything, which is great. I just wish there was a perfect balance. Nothing’s perfect, though. I’ll just have to deal with it.
