137 days clean today. Recovery in skateboarding gets me so hyped. Been back on board for like 2 months and it's true it feels like a rebirth or like that same level of hype and motivation from childhood first board. We do recover. If you're still out there miserable and using just know there's a way out and you never have to use again. 💙

First and foremost Brandon Turner has been one of my favorite skaters since I started actually popping tricks when I was younger. He was always good and consistent but somewhat under rated. I got away from skateboarding unfortunately for a few years, until recently , due to addiction. Therefore I didn't get to keep up with Brandon and everything he's been thru apparently, but thank goodness for him and everything he's doing to help these people. I seriously hope he and all these people keep it up

I've been skateboarding for a few years and it helps me in life. It teaches me when to push, when to rest, sometimes I land a cool trick and people send encouragement, skateboarding gives me a place to be when I have nowhere to go. And overall it gives me a sense of flow, a deep flowing focus that holds my attention.

I went to 12 steps through AA and Addiction Recovery Program through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. You guys have a big Temple there in SD. Love you guys and what you are doing. Can I get an invite and be a facilitator or mentor? I would love to come skate with everyone. God bless you for your service!

Wow man this is what I needed when I went to treatment a few months ago! The whole time down I was telling the workers mostly all I wanted to do was skate after almost a decade without cuz my addictions got so ugly I had no desire to skate among many other things like the will to even live and ppl that are clean could never want to go without these daily routines. And for everyone that does or use to skate I couldn’t think of a better addition it was most of our first love and can never be explained

I started a 12-step skate session meeting in Phoenix area back in 2009. The session/meeting is called Sunday Session. For all the sober homies interested it’s in the meeting list book. We’ve seen hundreds and hundreds of straight up gutter punk heroin addicts find this meeting and realize that sobriety and healthy living are a essential piece of the recovery process and really help keep people moving in the positive direction. Sobriety isn’t for people who need it, it’s for people who want it and go get it. If you’re struggling with addiction I want you to know that you can do this.

Watching this segment made me feel so good about living AOD free for the last couple of years, and inspires me so much to keep it up and also get back to skating way more than I have been the last few years. It is so crazy(aka Amazing, after seeing his Shorty's clips as a kid) to me, seeing B.Turner embracing such a manifestly positive community-driven program and supporting these people to build a whole new world for themselves and those around them through the magic of skateboarding and the freedom and joy that it can bring! As a side note, I am sorta baffled that any person gave this the thumbs down, like huh?! This video has more than likely helped encourage a shift in a lot of those who have viewed it and began a new journey with sober living. Much Love!!
