I discovered tool in 1993. I was full of teenage angst and whatnot. It took until 2024 to hear an acoustic version that will do it justice and be as memorable as it was in 1993.

Another awesome Tool cover! I think I said this on one of her older videos but I'm not generally a fan of covers. That goes all out the window for Summer Woods. She's the only one I get excited for when there's a new cover a song. It also helps that she does some of my favorite song by bands/artists I've been listening too for most of my life. Her original work is great too.

I'm 62 and had my last drink in December 1989. I think I understand some of these lyrics. There is a point in your drinking journey where you cant stop, but you don't really enjoy it anymore. Maybe went to a few meetings, relapsed a few times and that's gonna at least make the drinking not so fun. He wants to start over again because in the beginning it WAS fun. But towards the end you either get sober (which isn't easy) or you keep drinking (which also isn't easy). Been there. Done that.

As a long time vocalist, this is incredible, I LOVE the sound of your voice both in lower and higher volumes and love that they have different characteristics making them powerful. That gutteral power in the belting and the slight rasp in the softer parts is beautiful.
