Sobriety and self-worth

RC’s mother passed away just before he got out of the Marines, and he didn’t have a chance to grieve. His marriage fell apart, and he started drinking. After he became homeless, RC reached out to VA. An alcohol treatment program enabled him to recognize his self-worth, and counseling and therapy helped him overcome the desire to drink.

I wish my husband would have been able to get help. We as wife's have no idea what we got into when they did come home. He was not the same man that i married .i .i was young and had known ideas how to help him. The alarm clock would go off and he would jump out of the bed.Sacre me too. I was 17 when. We got married i was 19 when he came home. I had a baby girl just few months old. We stay together for the rest of his life I love him to death. And he loved me we stay married 30years but it was not easy. I still love him he pass 1999 .Its now 2018. But he still needed help right up to the day he passed away Vietnam was a hard War. Thanks you for listening. War was hell on home front too.
