Many people spend their entire life saving for retirement and after saving hundreds of thousands of dollars they end up passing away for someone else to enjoy the money. Enjoy your hard-earned money travel buy things you always wanted. Life is too short to save money. If you think you're going to be good when you retired, you are wrong. Many people who retired are either in a wheelchair or suffering from a chronic disease. Even if you make it nothing guarantees you will enjoy your money. Enjoy while you are young.

Two ideas. 1st is banks should offer seniors "special services accounts" after a certain age where the flag all transactions and designate a specific person be notified of transfers/withdrawals over a certain amount. 2nd is that family members need to assess their senior family members ability to fall prey and if so, take measures such as financial conservatorships when necessary.
