😂 That’s what I thought they were doing at first! It was hard to hear what the one guy was saying but I heard him say something was jumping and I thought he was looking for bedbugs (or lord knows what)! Years ago a friend and I stayed in a hotel in Boston. We were out drinking and came back and crashed in our beds. Well I woke up and got up to pee and I was COVERED in bed bugs!!! I freaked! I ran back into the room and flicked all the lights on. My friend in the other bed was comatose and they were literally swarming all over him and ran to hide when the lights went on. I got my stuff so FAST and got down to that desk demanding my money back right then and there. He took out my credit card receipt and started in about how they would need to have the manager look at it blah blah blah .. I said “let me see that a minute?” And I tore it to shreds right in front of him. 😅 He threatened to call the police and I told him go right ahead and I’ll have the Board of Health shut them down. Needless to say he shut up and we left at like 4 Am dragging out suitcases through Boston til we found a cab and got to a Marriott or some NICE hotel. I’ll never forget that experience. It was horrifying.

You know what’s kinda funny? If you ignore the horrific decorations it doesn’t seem like that mad of a motel. I’ve certainly stayed at worse in Nevada especially right outside Vegas. The amenities seem nice and according the the website they are pet friendly, have free Wi-Fi, and free coffee and pastries in the morning. All in all not too bad for a motel.

I miss the way it used to look. Just vintage with regular clowns next to a cemetery. Ever since it went viral the new owners painted evil clowns and stuff and it looks like it’s trying to flex. Not scary anymore.

We visited this motel around May this year. From the outside it looks like a real dump (not in a scary way, but in a bad way) in a almost run down abandoned town. The rest of Tonopah is NOT worth a visit, we onlye stayed at a nearby motel because of it was the only place with a motel for many many miles on our trip between Dammeron Valley and Pahrump. We briefly checked the reception area and the "museum"... both did not look like a "world famous location"... more like a run down building tryig to keep its head above the water of total bankruptcy.
