Most log flumes are designed with specific water management and ride mechanics to minimize the amount of water that splashes onto riders. Here are a few reasons why many log flume rides don't get you excessively wet: Water Channel Design: The flume's water channel is often designed to guide water away from the riders, using gravity and strategic angles to direct water flow. Splash Zones: Rides may include designated splash zones that are positioned away from the seating areas or strategically located to control when and how much water splashes onto riders. Ride Speed and Motion: The speed and motion of the boat can influence how much water is splashed. If the boat moves smoothly and at a controlled speed, it tends to create less turbulence, resulting in less water being splashed out. Drop Shape and Height: The shape and height of the drops influence the splash created. A more gradual drop may allow water to flow more smoothly, while steep drops may create larger splashes but are often designed to minimize this effect. Seating Design and Placement: The design of the seating and how passengers are positioned in the flume also plays a role. Some rides have higher sides on the boats or barriers that help shield passengers from large splashes. Water Levels: The water levels in the flume can be maintained at specific heights to control the amount of water that can splash onto riders. Overall, the engineering and design considerations involved in creating log flume rides aim to provide a fun experience while keeping riders dry, or at least not completely soaked, which enhances overall enjoyment.

The funny thing is that it's clear they tried to put some effort beyond just landscaping with rocks and trees, but they put so little effort into the scenery that it looks worse than if they would have tried to go generic lol. I suspect the area will look a lot nicer when the trees start to grow in and envelop the ride more (Something that is happening with the Hagrid coaster at Universal's Islands of Adventure), but that just makes me wish there was more foliage to better do that currently whilst the trees try to grow in.

Here at SeaWorld in Orlando, we have infinity Falls. The ride is constantly being closed down due to either the weather or maintenance issues. You could be waiting in line for two whole hours sometimes more and by the time you get to the front, they tell you the ride has been closed. It’s unfortunate because they close it so many times they might as well just permanently shut it down at this point because it’s barely opened! Hopefully the one in San Antonio doesn’t close as much as ours!

Yes! Look up Infiniti Falls from SeaWorld in Orlando. They already have this. I ride it all the time minus all the times when they have it closed because they close it a lot. But basically it’s it’s a rafting ride and when you get to the elevator part it takes you up and you go down a slide.

This has some cool tech but it looks like a wasted opportunity. The launch seems misplaced, like it launches randomly, and for no reason, doesn't lead to anything particularly cool, just a strange bunny hop and then it's done. The vertical lift is cool but feels so bare. The big drop seems wasted because it leads to another bunny hop rather than a true splashdown section, and the theming is basically nonexistent. What little theming is there is super lame. Feels way too "modern minimalist" like they are tying to be like a cool modern campground or something. Idk, it seems like the cooler aspects of the technology were completely wasted in the actual execution.
