Hey one thing I've been curious about is how much an area can be raised by the belly scrapers unloading. Would you be willing to do a time lapse video of an area being filled in over a day or something like that? Thanks.

If you look at the guy's building farm's they offen use them to level the farm land, take off the hill tops and fill in the low area's to produce level field's.

What’s the difference in size and capacity of the cat and the hitachi?
@caincoulson29682 жыл бұрын
I don’t know the bucket sizes off hand but the cat is a little over twice the tonnage as the hitachi. Cat is around 300t and hitachi is about 120t

How in hell can anyone afford to live there, if they have to move "millions" of yards. Great vid as always

Do they use the shovels where it is so hard that the scrapers can't get easily? Thanks.
@ke6gwf2 жыл бұрын
You can see some pretty big rocks in there, even driving over them in a Scraper would be hazardous to the tires, and you would be closing the gate on them, either losing dirt the whole drive, or damaging the machine.
@cleonard712 жыл бұрын
Yea some of that didn’t look to bad but most did. At around $10k a tire it more cost effective than scrapers. Plus it could be where they are placing the material. Might not be able to get a scraper in.

The British occupiers in Michigan around Detroit would have been glad to have such machines as they leveled hundreds of square miles back then. 😆

Don't like to see tractors back blading, an old driver once told me, if you can't push it, leave it where it is.
