Love how small those 5tons are compared to the haul trucks. Them water boys are on it! Always placing dust control right where its needed. And the large equipment is always cool too lol

That must be one hell of a housing development to need kit that big, that 5130B has seen some hard digging over the years 🎉

*SoCalEarthMovers throwing-down more quality content* One of the most revealing parts of the video was when the water truck was watering the 5130 loads and the scale of the backhoe was revealed. *EXCELLENT VIDEOGRAPHY* Great choice of angle. I think I saw Pennick on the backhoe (TB Pennick by chance)? I was a Cat field rep for years and worked with TB Pennick on big underground jobs through the 80’s. Great Stuff SoCalEarthMovers.

Great Content for a Sunday afternoon. as a former resident of Southern CA, I like watching these and trying to figure out where the cameras are set up. Pretty tight shot does not give a lot of detail. Rockiness and lack of coastal shrub has me thinking this is someplace like inland San Diego county or someplace in riverside.

Lot of glorious activity, but they are out of water and do not know it yet. Hoover/Boulder/Black Canyon dam is almost at electric generation shut off, much less supplying water anywhere right now.

What are the chains with the metal plates for in the bucket of the 5130B for?
@garyjung65252 жыл бұрын
Probably for breaking material loose that might stick to bucket.
@timothygrell43982 жыл бұрын
@@garyjung6525 that is exactly what it is for. No build up or less build up inside the bucket.
@watchthe13692 жыл бұрын
"clay chains" is what I hear them called where I grew up. They help keep the sticky clay or other sticky dirt from building up in the bucket.

California has crazy controls over dust in the last 15 years or so. They have signs outside of the gates on job sites advising commuters that if they see dust to call a dust hotline. The local inspectors will shut a job down for dust and fine the contractor bigtime.
