How I SCHEDULE my work week as a fashion designer! to be PRODUCTIVE -what do fashion designers do?

Wow!! "This is insane" was what jumped out of my mouth, this is a different perspective to what I had imagined a daily routine of a fashion designer would be. I am presently working on flats in Adobe illustrator as well as drafting patterns in illustrator as well, and trying to familiarise myself with excel. I don't know how you manage to do it. Thank you for the effort you put into enlightening us with your first hand experience. It is highly appreciated and I wish you success in your journey, endeavour and plans for the future.

It’s a lot I know but, fashion is very busy and we have a lot to get through this is fast fashion, when I was working high end my calendar was a lot different more in person meeting fabric discussion more design time and working on trims and details, I think as you grow in your role you take on more and manage your time differently 👍👍👍

@@SoCalledFashion I agree with you, uh did you ever know for certain where you'd fit into the fashion industry after your schooling? That seems to be a challenge somewhat for me, picking up skills in Adobe illustrator and Excel for fashion is exciting, on the other hand it feels hazy, what I mean is I am not completely sure on how best to apply my skills in the Industry. I am not entirely new in fashion, I attended a fashion school and I'm done, but I started learning CAD for fashion in little over a year now especially illustrator and I have achieved a level of progress and confidence, I feel like I need a little nudge in the right direction. Thanks again.

Hey so when I first started I felt overwhelmed, i didn’t really feel like I fit and I unsure of my self, but as I look back I was just starting out you Lear so much in your first 6 months and even more in your first year so keep going and it will all fit into place. Fashion is a hard industry to work in because everything is so subjective you just have to research and stick to your gut.
