How many 76 year old women can still sing and look like they're in their 40's? Rock on!

I agree. For example Martha Reeves. I am not saying she lost her classic voice. Only that she now sounds different. Unlike Darlene Love, still can rock it

Such a shame she stole this song from Vikki Carr! And the arrogant bitch gave her a different name. She's not a victim here. She stole it, and it got stolen from her. There's no such things as "Blossoms, and Crystals", don't you realize how these "groups" were used and manipulated by white men back then? At least Vikki Carr got her own voice in the end. These black girls are all dead, or singing at the County Fairs, LOL!!!

Darlene Love and the Blossoms should gotten some credit for their singing on Shelley Fabares’ Johnny Angel. Another monster hit that left out a credit for an important part of that hot record. Maybe just a little itty-bitty bit under Shelley’s name on the label?

Did you know that Gene Pitney wrote this catchy song? Interesting to me as if you listen to Gene Pitney you know the wonderful variety of songs he is known for. Where does someone come up with such a neat song that is still popular 60 years later. I expect his estate is still receiving royalties as Darlene wouldn't be singing it now were it not for Gene Pitney. She does a lively rendition even now.

When Darlene Love sings, "He's a Rebel", I get chills & then tears come to my eyes. I saw her in a documentary about background singers and could not believe how often I heard her paranormal voice in the background of so many hit songs. In that same "20 Feet" movie, she blew Mick Jagger off the stage singing, "Rape, Murder, Just a Shot Away". Blew that red-lipped lead singer & his band out of the room & into another dimension. Darlene said, "Something coalesced in me...All the crap that was going on...Martin & Bobby being shot...And it all just came out." That moment with Mick Jagger is not in every version of "20 Feet from Stardom", but it should be because it is the moment when "the singer becomes the song". Art happens & that moment was art at its most powerful. Darlene should buy that clip & play it at Julliard because a moment like that is why every student is in that school. She blew Mick Jagger & his crew into a moment like when Tommy Smith raised his fist at the Olympics or when Martin said, "I have a dream... I may not be there with you..." Ya feel me?

First of all, that was Mary Clayton, who suffered a miscarriage after singing that chorus for the Stones. Second, Darlene Love was not the original singer of that song. It was Vikki Carr. So give credit where credit due, and get your facts straight.
