this would work perfectly if the opposing team wasn't playing.

The first 30 seconds covered nearly the entire strategy I give to my U8 team. Everything else we learn is just a means to make it happen. In practice I even put markers on the field to get the players to pass or dribble into this area when they are on the wing. Interestingly, the hardest thing was to get them to shoot. Kids this age can be reluctant to shoot if they are unsure they will score. It took a year for them to accept the "just take 30 shots and we will make 6 or 7" idea.

I’m 28 years old and recently joined a competitive indoor men’s league. I played my whole life from ages 4-20, but haven’t seriously played in about 10 years. The biggest thing for me is my fitness. The pace of the game is so fast that it feels like basketball. Constantly sprinting, no time to relax. By the time our team miraculously wins the ball back, and gets it to me, my legs are jello and I’m so winded I turn it over and need to sub.

Good strategies but you're missing a central defender to cover the other defender with the ball in the case we lose it. Thanks.

Our indoor league has redlines, like hockey. The "lofted passes" as designed would get a red line violation (like icing in hockey). another option is off the wall deflection to the wide forward.

Very nice job. Glad to see I others want to avoid dribbling too.

do you have a scenario where the goalkeeper saves the ball or yours misses the ball when you pass back?

I appreciate your thoughts and works, but playing soccer is not playing chess. Real games are more dynamic, which are totally different. Your general concepts here are good, nonetheless, they are not pragmatic and useful.

This is a great strategy except for the fact that the forwards are often offside.

You are correct. In our area, there is often no offsides for 6v6 at U10 and indoors.

because the field can be very little. You need space for move the line defender, if no there are more players in very space .
@antonioandrenegreirosnunez14087 жыл бұрын
In these scenarios, it's not necessary. However, knowing that the rolles are interchangable, not only would it be possible, but recommended that the back is the one who runs wide and open up to the corner while the forward stays behind the line to give support and favor playability in certain situations. However, the scheme should stay the same, so that there are still the same possibilities to score a goal. Thanks a lot, coach Fred! This is a great video: you managed to explain all the basics on tactics in a very natural way. I look forward to see more of your videos. Greetings from Peru!

Not like this. You have to use the goal keeper actively to build up the attack from behind. Play the ball between the keeper and the two defenders until you get an opening to attack. Normally you then create an 3vs2 situation and outnumber the two attackers.
