I'm not sure if you know this about that McDavid goal but that goal was in his rookie season. but early in the season on November 3rd 2015 he broke his collar bone which he was out until February 2nd 2016. In his return he scored that amazing goal against the blue jackets which also explains why the announcer said welcome back.

Played hockey my entire life learning how to do the dangles takes lots of practice but you do get the hang of it. What’s impressive is their playing against the best defensemen and goalies in the world and can still pull them off that’s the most impressive part being able to fool professionals the best of the best

I was a goalie so I never learned to dangle. What’s so underrated about these moves is they can do it, and not look down the whole time. Because if you dangle with your eyes or head down, you’re gonna be in a video about getting loaded into an ambulance.

To answer some of your questions, Adam 1. You´re still allowed to tackle without a stick, The only problem without a stick is scoring a legal goal 2. They have not announced the realese date for NHL 24 yet but in tradition it´s always realesed 2 weeks before or after....EA Sports FC 3. Pavel Datsyuk doesn´t play anymore, He retired from the NHL in 2016 and retired full-time from hockey in 2021 after a couple years back home in Russia

Been playing hockey almost 30 years. Well, not consistently since I was 18, but I've never been able to do most of these. Most people can't anyway, so I'm not too upset :) Last I checked Datsyuk retired from the NHL but still plays in a Russian league

Yes, you can still check a guy if you lost your stick, provided it's a legal check. In this case, he (mostly) missed the puck carrier with the check, but say he was able to slow down the puck carrier, and the defenceman's teammate got the puck, that would have been fine. There was nothing illegal about what he did.

2:27 I'm a hockey player and where I play, one of my teammates and I are actually notorious for having great stickhandling and nasty dangles. The amount of breakaways I've completed and the amount of coast to coast goals my teammate has completed are crazy. That's another thing you should react to, NHL Coast to Coast Goals.

On the second goal by a young Evgeni Malkin of Pittsburgh, the comment "shades of Mario" referred to Mario Lemieux, who had just retired or was still playing at that time. Pavel Datsyuk left the NHL in 2016 when nearly 38 years old and played 5 more years in Russia. A defender without a stick will still be called for penalties like holding, so he's not very useful.

To your question the techniques themselves are doable. Most players you see in the NHL *can do them. In practice, stationary or moving slowly around someone who isn't a skilled player. Doing them at high speed, against other elite players, midgame with the fatigue, under pressure is a completely different thing.

the term "Dangle" has changed it's meaning since I was a kid... when I was younger and played, Dangle meant the ability to skate faster with the puck than the rest. "He can Dangle" was basically saying that he can skate just as fast with the puck as he can when he doesn't have it. A bunch of people at some point must've misunderstood, and now it means something else completely. I was a goalie when I played, but I could play any position. When I played "unorganized" hockey on the pond or outdoor rinks, being a member of the "goaltender's union", people were always amazed at how good I was playing skater positions, and yes, I can "dangle" - both the old meaning and the new one. Haven't been on skates in over a decade though.

nhl 24 is coming out October 10th almost definitely. Reveal will be around the end of August like last year. nhl 23 came out oct 11th nhl 22 came out oct 12th nhl 21 came out oct 13th Note that those are all the pre order release dates, which are all on tuesday, the regual release was on the friday

I'm sorry, but the regular release was always on Tuesday. Most of games release on Tuesday or Thursday, NHL always been on Tuesday. They say it's friday to get more pre order and let you play Tuesday, but the real release is suppose to be Tuesday. It was before studios start offering a fake 3 days shit 10-15 years ago. Pre order release date are regular date and the friday, is a 'late release date'. Everything is about statistic and numbers now, pre orders are important for them. Of course for you i'm wrong... But when you buy your video games Day one, at Tuesday everytime for 30 years and one day, they decide it's a pre order release date, i'm sorry but that's bullshit...

2:41 as a player I can say that I have some moves. But the thing is that everyone’s moves are relative to how fast the game they’re playing is moving. Since the NHL is the fastest league, the speed at which they pull their moves is incredible. They are easier to do moving slower, lol. 3:50 the word is: “undressed” 7:25- yes, the stickless D can still play the body.

Yes Adam he is still allowed to hit him without a stick. In fact that is the correct play. He should have hit him and let the other defender get the puck. If you take the body there you wouldn't end up on a highlight reel.

The coach was using terms like, one-timer, we had an offense that used speed at the wing an shifted the ball horizontally across the net to a vertically moving center, making response tome to attacks minimal. Something we did on hockey. That's one examlle

Yup you can still play and body check if you somehow lost your stick. Only thing is that you cannot score a goal without it. Everything else goes. It has to still be within legal guideline rules tho, body check wise. No grabbing and hauling down 🙈 oh and the new NHL 24 is coming out early October. Like 13th or 14th. I forget. Also I play hockey but I can't dangle through players very well. I can dangle the goalie when I have a breakaway or a shootout but I'm not very good at dangling through other players. And I play defense and can't defend very well either. And when I do I get a penalty almost every time 😂
