Here's an advice :- If you don't want a creator to succeed and go viral then stop interacting with their content. Simply ignore it and move on. The thing that most people don't realise is that even negative comments and shares gives these creators an algorithm push that they desperately crave. A sponsor just needs traffic for it's ad. India has all types of people, earlier(conventional media or pre jio phase) only elite or relatively civilized people used to present society on internet. Now things are different. Tiktok cringe, twitter abusers, or even few influencer who got famous for things discussed in this video are all outcome of jio. tiktok grew coz some section of society could relate to those videos, social media gave equal stage for all people irrespective of their economic background. We naturally like glamourous and aesthetic social media when there is no representation of lower class or their lifestyles. See, why are most indian politicians are dumb, or say not so civilized still they're governing us coz they represent real India, India is not what top 1% or 10% indians represent. But still social media is majorly the top 10%, mostly civilized. People like puneet superstar or dolly chaiwala are rare, who got fame across all platforms(not restricted to tiktok) and they will likely increase as the gap b/w classes lowers on social media with better connectivity. I don't think hockey players not getting recognition is related to dolly getting attention, hockey players issue is completely different, if there was no dolly, still most people wouldn't have recognized hockey players. Indian sport audience was and somewhat is cricket driven, but still few sports are getting recognition due to their achievements. It's simple why would someone watch a sport where his/her country is ranking below 4 or 5. Anyway, people like dolly get fame and hate at the same time, so just chill out, and i don't think they are influencing anyone, nor any other chaiwala wants to be like him, this is something very rare.
