I’ve been listening to Social Distortion for 30yrs and they never get old. I’m 46 and still rock Mommy’s Little Monster but personally think their self titled album was their masterpiece. Mike needs more recognition as a great song writer.

I was only one year old in 1990. I discovered Social Distortion around 2009 and love them since then. I think most of the people commenting here are good old boys. These are the kind of people l like to hang out with, spend time with. I have a farm in a very remote but naturally beautiful hilly village in Nepal. I'am working everyday with an aim to fix this degraded, backward place by turning this once an abandoned piece of land into a self- sustainable farm and a tourist attraction. I would happily offer a free service, free food, free camping tents to true Social Distortion's fans if they ever come to my farm. I believe there is not a single person in my country who knows ST and have listen to them beside my business partner friend. People are not so curious these days. Everyone follow the popular trends. Hence they can never discover the great bands of the best time in world's music. I love the album cover of mommy's little monster. A laughing skeleton wearing a hat, holding a glass of wine on a hand. It has a deep insight. When i was working as a factory labour in South Korea some years ago, i bought that album's T-shirt online, which is now totally discolored but i still wear it sometimes. I love SD.

@@JAMac1918 You are always welcome to Swopnavumi brother. But its nothing like a luxury homestead or resort. We built and planted almost everything here. This place was a barren abandoned cliff. The project started with 200 paulownia's saplings that we bought on 200 dollars, two years ago. We had no money when we started. We took some bank loan and invested to build a farm. There is a lot to do. We are not able to generate any income at the moment whatsoever. You have to sleep in tent and eat what we produce and eat here. But we happily share what we have. We will do our best to make your stay unforgettable. If you are a music lover, true nature lover, explorer and if you love rawness, tranquil place and simplicity then you will definitely enjoy your stay here. Try to come to Nepal asap. Cause someday never comes. And someday you may get tired and give up and i may give up on my dream as well. So, plz come before its too late.. Thank You 🙏

Awesome!! you’re only a year older than me, I found out about them around 2004-2005 I had just got outta 8th grade about to start freshman year in highschool. Mommy’s little monster being the first song and album I had and heard. The BEST!! It’s cool that their newer stuff fits us older heads today and we can choose the nostalgia of listening to the first records! I hope you succeed real well in this little land of yours, cheers from California!

I saw them on this tour in Milwaukee. Neil Young headlined, Social Distortion opened, Sonic Youth rocked it out in between. It was cool seeing the old hippies boppin’ their heads to Social Distortion. Sonic Youth ended their set with their instruments kickin’ feedback and it was great, but the venue cut it off really short. So, Neil Young blasted the feedback at the end of his show. It was a fucking great show. I mean, shit, seeing SD & SY together? Psh. Then I get to hear Neil Young as an exposure to something “new” for me. Heh. It was a good night & it was free to boot. 🖖💀

I was there. The room was pretty tiny. This was shot at the old KDOC studio in Anaheim, pretty close to Disneyland. The same place where Wally George taped Hot Seat. The band weren't playing very loudly that day. I think some of that delay might be from the wire less guitar rigs that Mike & Dennis were using back then...

Say by mid 1990s , around my pre/teen years I found this band and all other punk bands . Everything click for this poor white happy kid ,at 43 still going back in time trying find bands I miss or never gave proper time to . Never seen them live but seen Mike side band once . Some reason after 90s bands stop coming to Kentucky beside those big fest crap . I miss small personal love show rooms .
