The problem with socialism is that it could only work in a moral society. And for the most part, attempts at socialism have been expressly centered around secularism. A healthy and functioning church congregation is perhaps the only example close to a functioning socialist community on a microscale. Where members provide financial aid directly through giving or indirectly through contributing to the church's funds

If I had to make a slogan for my socialist government, it would be "Oligarchy: re-imagined!"

I can GUARANTEE that everybody here talking about how bad socialism is has never truly studied it, and has no notion of what it really means. The countries mentioned by you are all ruled by extremist dictators, they don't follow true socialism, they use that name in order to use all the power and resources for themselves. There's not much of a difference once a country becomes extremist - fascist or communist, they end up suffering the same under a dictatorship. If you read the word socialism and your only argument is "look at Venezuela"... I'm sorry but please do some research.

garbage men don't make money? Really =.=. I like learning this but necessary jobs make more money. A doctor will always get business while a lawyer may not.

She compared a garbage men's salary to an athlete's. You're really gonna tell me necessary jobs make the most money? LOL
