I got rid of my social media accounts almost 10 years ago. One of the Best decisions of my life. I have more time and more peace. I wasted so much time comparing myself to fake lives fabricated on social media. It’s all fake. With the extra time, I got a master’s degree in school counseling. I wrote my thesis on the dangers of social media. Delete your social media accounts. You will be better off without the distractions. 💜💜💜💜💜💜 Thank you for making a positive impact on my life. my favorite is youtube. I don't have tiktok, I seldomly used facebook and intagram for the past 6 months. I can say that I live my real life more than creating a "ideal" life online. there's nothing to prove but there's more reason to live a life! I neglected our house 7 years prior to pandemic because of work. somethingthat I've learned from church and healing ministry is to connect to "true self" and in order to do that, I have to surround with people who are safe (accountable) and surround with things that are purposeful and according to Marie Condo "brings joy".

I went from around 400+ friends down to 119. Got rid of all the fakes and people I was never friends with in real life or high school.

TK- you really hit the nail on the head about not having to pick up the "boulder" of anothers feelings by asking why. It's so prompted in EVERYTHING we see/hear that ppl over explain themselves when it actuality if you're being blamed for ie: not loving someone, that's also a form of manipulation. I couple these podcasts with Dr Nicole Lapera to round out the messages I hear

by the way, i've been decluttering for a year because my dad is having a difficulty letting go of huge TVs, CDs, Tapes, VHS, and other old appliances and all of them are no longer working. I was able to dispose old broken microwaves, old small broken oven, old and broken refrigerator and papers from 1980s and 1990s. i just need to convince him a little more with the hunchback TVs. I embrace minimilism here in the Philippines for a year now. I can say I feel less overwhelm and minimalism helps me make decision easier.

I would like to start a free trial of your private podcast but there's no way I'm providing my payment details upfront. I'm happy to pay for extended episodes but what I feel uncomfortable with is granting a website or service provider permission to automatically deduct funds from my bank account. I would like the ability to make one off payments, and then pay each month as required. I know I sound like a Boomer but I'm the same age as you guys and have so far got through life without giving in to auto-deduct subscription services. Any chance you will self host in the future, with this option?
