We’ve def focused a ton on vertical content. While we shoot our music videos in horizontal the final videos have captions and artwork above and below the video. VERY IMPORTANT. EVERY VIDEO NOW MUST HAVE CAPTIONS…. Takes extra work but makes the world of a difference. Our KZbin channel shows this

But I still think it’s just part of a funnel - short form content like TikTok is good for initial awareness and so brand building - but for product information and storytelling it must be the start of the journey…. After all you can’t read a book by just looking at the cover!

A lot of this is spot on information that I have also noticed by diving into what he said and doom scrolling. You start to really notice basic norms of intros , outros, what videos start to show up on a subject matter depending on how quickly you scrolled or liked.

I think the algorithm also ranks interests together based on who's watching them, like if a viewer generally enjoys art tiktoks, it can be assumed that videos they watch and like are art-related, so the things the people are viewing help suggest to others that might like the same thing, too
