I worked with a woman that was always bragging. She always seemed to be telling everyone how beautiful she considered herself. One day she stated that when she was younger she would literally stop traffic when she walked down the street. I told her I had the same problem when I was young, but then learned to look both ways before crossing the street. She was not happy with me, but the lady working across from me seemed to nearly fall over laughing.

Let's pretend for a second that the rock did it, and that this is a common problem. We all know this isn't the case, but let's humor her for a second. Then why wouldn't you just take it off while at work? I used to work in aircraft maintenance, and it was dangerous to wear jewelry to work. All the married folk (myself included) would take off our ring and put it in our locker at the beginning of the day and then put it back on at the end of the day. Hell, even when I worked in retail I took my ring off when folding towels because the setting kept pulling the strings. (If your SO can't understand a practical reason for taking your ring off during work hours, it's not gonna last)

Had a coworker that always complained that the gloves just couldnt fit over her oh so big, very expensive ring almost daily. She'd make a big show of removing it and acting frustrated about how big it was. And kept saying that she was going to ask her husband to get her a much smaller one like the other girls working here. @SA S I guess I agree to disagree. To me the humble brag part isn't that he is proud of his career. Or that he is proud of his son. It's that he turned a moment about his son's accomplishment to do a brag about himself (one he could no doubt be proud of, but that to me is the definition of a humble brag).
