This song resonates with me so much right now. My close friend is having issues because her husband and two sons are battling addiction. Her sons are trying to turn their lives around but her husband is really just so self-absorbed. He doesn't want to realize that he's dragging his whole family through hell with his demons.

a friend of mine sent me a link of this song .. and it really brought me to tears because I'm struggling with some problems with myself at the moment and tis song reminded me that there are really people caring and wanting to help even if I don't ..know myself any more and have no energy left for living one more day. so Iwanted to say Thank you for making this song, it means so much to me... and sry I'm spaming with my uninteresting problems here.

I get what you're going throu. I think Richie ment these type of songs for you and other people who are depressed to let them know that they aren't alone.
@MisterJtheGamer6 жыл бұрын
I needed this song. I was in an online relationship, and I fell hard for the other person, but I talk too much. I got that undercontrol but they still kept silent even after giving me a second chance. It hurt, having the person you felt was the one you were meant to spend your life with toss you aside like trash. I was genuine with my feeling, I cared about her. I guess that was just a one way street though. But the song has given me the strength to move on, so thank you.
@Nanakanisurra7 жыл бұрын
Dear Richie. This is one of your most poignant and deep songs that when I listen to the lyrics, reminds of what I see you put yourself through or seem to have to endure so continuously. I wish nothing but the best for both you and Jackie. No judgment here. I too beat myself up a lot over what to others seem like insignificant reasons.

Darling, I love you But you love your demons more Than you could ever love me. I'm watching a slow motion Accident There's enough time to look But not react I wanna help you While you're still intact Am I wasting my breath? You're staging yourself For sudden death Tell me all your stories Tell me where you've been Were all those thoughts Just works of fiction? Do you feel lonely Misunderstood I can feel it too Yeah it surrounds you Give me every word Tell me where you bleed Did your father leave you with no room to breath A steady decline I'll toss you a rope But it's up to you to try and Not lose hope Darling, i love you But you love your demons more Than you could ever love me I won't ask you again Your silence speaks for itself I can't relate to the fact How you torture yourself like that Make me understand This is not a demand But i don't know what else to do Tell me what i am to you Another blip on your timeline I see right through you What good is my help When you can't Help yourself Tell me all your stories Tell me where you've been Where all those thoughts Just works of fiction Do you feel lonely, misunderstood? I can feel it too Yeah it surrounds you Give me every word Tell me where it hurts Did you lose your mother Right after birth A steady decline I'll toss you a rope But it's up to you to try and Not lose hope Yeah! Are you losing yourself? Yeah! No, i'm not losing myself Are you losing yourself? I'm not losing myself Are you losing yourself? Fine, i'm losing myself! Tell me all your stories Tell me where you've been Were all those thoughts Just works of fiction? Do you feel lonely, misunderstood? I can feel it too Yeah It surrounds you Give me every word Tell me where it hurts Did you lose your mother Right after birth A steady decline I'll toss you a rope But it's up to you to try and Not lose hope Darling i love you But you love your demons more Than you could ever love me

I just found you tonight and I've watched almost all of your music videos...you sir, are talented. I'm a 20+ year heroin addict in recovery (14 months clean now) and this song...yeah...I feel like you know someone with this affliction. If that's the case, there IS hope, they just need to know it's hard, really fucking hard, but not impossible. If I'm off base, I apologize, but this song resonates with me and I needed to say this-to ANYONE with these demons, they can be exorcised.

this song reminds me of a close friendship I have. He even told me some of the stuff in this song like "what good is my help when you can't help yourself" and "a steady decline I'll toss you a rope but it's up to you to not lose hope" of course he didn't say it identically but it was close. the "are you losing yourself" part is what I love the most because I've had countless arguments with close friends in the past that were like this. With them asking and me denying until I couldn't take it anymore and I just exploded. This song is amazing and I'm adding it to one of my playlists, great job!

Your music is beautiful. I wish I could be as good as you but my voice shakes when I sing. Yours though, yours flow freely and smoothly like a beautiful melody. Your music is the one of the things that make me happy. I love your music, and I respect and look up to you.
