Why do we social security people have to wait till jan 1 to get our cola adjustment but the fed gov calendar date starts on october 1.?? Why do we have to wait but the gov gets theres 3 months before us Americans that paid into sysyem.

Yes. These middle of the month payments are for people who get their payments in the middle of the month. This isn’t extra money.

I am enrolled in early pay and get my SSA deposit two days early every month. My deposit date is the fourth Wednesday, so I get paid the Monday before. When my early pay date falls on a holiday, I receive payment the Friday before. My early pay date in December would be Christmas day, which is a Monday. So will people with fourth Wednesday payments who are enrolled in early pay receive their payments on 12/27 or 12/22 because of the Christmas holiday? In every other situation like this I have received it the Friday before, but who knows this month.
