The "SSA" called my house for months on end, claiming I was going to go to jail and that a warrant was out for my arrest. Thankfully aware the SSA never calls. Haven't been arrested either.

My husband & I got 2 of these calls the same day like 4 days before xmas . We traced the # back to some healthcare insurance, so we call them & apparently the scammers hacked into the healthcare 's telephone #

While some are just shitty people, some resort to that as a last resort, meaning call centres, sometimes they don't even know it's a scam place until it's too late and they can't afford to go back empty-handed or at all... and some places the bosses make all the money and they get next to nothing...

In the future, don't press any keys on your phone's keypad. Scammers can (but not always) use that as authorization to charge your phone bill for bogus fees.
