I have listened to both parts of this presentation. Thank you very much Pastor for analysing the issues pertaining to this extremely important topic with such surgical precision. I also commend you for the balanced, Holy Spirit led manner with which you have handled matters of this sensitivity. It’s good to acknowledge that there are wrong ways in which one can handle matters, and also understand that one can easily incriminate themselves with possibly the best of intentions (as evidenced by Kate Osborne’s contribution to the debate noted in Hansard that you quoted). Miriam Cates’ account that she recounted was an extremely chilling one though, a scenario which I can see being played out in many households up and down the country. May God bless you as you alert us, but also encourage us to remain hopeful. I suggest that links to these videos be placed perhaps on the SEC PARL website under the appropriate heading so that people can go straight to them.

Absolutely Mama as SDA Church LEADERS and MEMBERS should intervene and come to the aid of families we know are struggling over this issue with their children in the household of faith.
