I kept replaying the bit with the thing slamming up against the vent trying to get a better look. Also, "I didn't budget for a man in the walls" is just a fabulous line.

Reminiscent of a waking nightmare I had as a small child. Something catlike slinking down the wall from a vent. I briefly lost sight of it until it reappeared right in my face. I just turned over and tried not to think about it. The only thing scarier than that are the things that slink out of the vent in the back of my pajamas. At least you get a warning from them. You can smell them coming a mile away. Just never ever, ever duck under the covers!
