Have you tried it with different QR codes? If you were trying it with mine in this video, unfortunately, I didn't realize I was on a 14-day trial when I did this video with the QR code and this entire time no one could scan the code. Hopefully you were able to get it to work. Be Blessed, Audrey

I just did this the other day. I took a screen shot of a frame in this video that had my QR code, went to my photos, cropped the image down to just the qr code, opened it up tapped and held down on the image and the menu popped up. It said Open in Safari, clicked on that and viola, it opened right to the link I'm linked the QR code to. Give that a try with the screenshot you have on your camera roll and let me know if it works for you. Be Blessed, Audrey

Oh darn it. When you tapped and held down on the image did any menu pop up? I would think that the iOS, if up to date would allow you to do this. I do have an iPhone 12 pro but I wouldn't think that would matter. I've seen other videos that have iPhone 6, 7, 8 + be able to scan the code. Have you tried to scan a regular QR code from your camera and it work? I'm wondering if maybe the image is not clear enough?

how come you don't do this for android. So here is my problem. I subscribe to some substacks. I assume some where on my phone I have the ap. When I go to my email an click on a substack I subscribe to there is a link to read on the ap. However I can't do it on my phone. If I click on the read it on the ap, it takes me to the qr code and says to dowload the ap. I scan the code but nothing happens after that. Parade magazine did the same thing a few years ago when it stopped publishing a print version. So how do I get to the ap on my lap top

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with substacks and I only have Apple products right now. Have you tried going to the Google Play Store and searching for the app there? Or you could go to their website and it looks like on the footer there is a link to be able to go right to the app on your phone. I know such an app exists for Android phones but i don't know the exact name for the iPhone app...

Depending on what browser you are using, it may appear above or below. I'm using the Google browser so when I scan a qr code it pops up a little link under the QR code and then I'll click on that. Hopefully it will pop up under it and you can click on it. Be Blessed, Audrey

OK most people know what a qr code looks like but not how to deal with it. I bought an item online that I want to return. They give me a qr code to take to USPS and they fill the printing label. I have scanned the code but I cant seem to keep it on my phone to use it when I go to USPS. I hope someone can help.

You'll want to save that image of the QR code to your photos then open it in photos, tap and hold down on it until a menu pops up. Then choose Open in Safari (or whatever browser you have set as your default) and that's it. It should take you to where the creator wanted it to go. Just make sure you trust the person or business that you getting the QR code from. 😉 Be Blessed, Audrey

Sharon, you do not need to be connected to the internet in order to use your camera for the QR code HOWEVER, you can pretty much assume that the QR code is taking you to somewhere online and that you do need Internet to access wherever that QR codes is taking you. I didn't know where Safari was but after trying to see what it was you were clicking on I put my phone camera on over your QR and on my phone it showed this thing at the top of the screen and I taped on it and the information you had came up. I get scared to do things because if there is a way to mess it up I am the one who can do that. Then can get help from my brother to fix it.
