My father LOVES Ethiopian food. It wouldn't surprise me if he also ate at this restaurant. Great video, but I will say, you should have washed that meal down with some tej.

As always, the two of you doing the vids are great. The veggie side looks amazing and something I'll have to try at some point.

What a great reminder. I used to manage a team with many Ethiopian and Eritrean folks and they always loved to share their food and culture. This was 25+ years ago, but I will always specifically remember the Injera and 90% of the time is was the spicy lentils. Always amazing, and I really think I need to go out and find some soon. We have a few very good Ethiopian restaurants around the Twin Cities.

The Blue Nile in Ann Arbor is my go to Ethiopian place. You're so correct, the veggie dishes are just 🔥🔥. So tender and spiced with such complexity. And the injera! Spongy and sour in a good way. Love.🤗

What a fun and delicious way to eat your food, no forks or spoons and no dishes to wash! Very interesting meal. You two handled it very well too.

Good Eats Guys...I'm surprised the restaurant didn't recommend the National World Famous Dish.. "Doro Wot'" aka Chicken Stew 🍲.
@nathanpeterson5924Ай бұрын
That looked great! Would love to try it. Fun fact! If you use taft flour in something without the fermentation process it will have you spending a day in the bathroom lol

Props to the bloke who sent you a ton! One of my old architecture firms had our chrimbo dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant. Every thing was hands on, no bread. It was good but odd,

Oh you guys have to keep exploring the African continent for food. There is so much there for you to explore and to fall in love with. It, and Indian are two top favorites! Can't wait to see you guys eating giant dosas 😂

Ooooh, but no doro wat which is basically the national dish of Ethiopia, need to get that next time! Definitely recommend popping up to Edgewater and hitting Ethiopian Diamond or Awash for the IRL experience. Demera is good but I think those two are better (favorite was always Ras Dashen, RIP.)

Aly’s not a chicken gal so I didn’t get that this time specifically because I want to get my own massive entree of it next time for the channel 😂

Nice video as always. Never had Ethiopian meal before. Looks complicated to make at home. Good thing for delivery or take out!!!! I lived in Bangalore, India several years ago. Just for a month. I could not get the hang of tearing off Naan Bread to scoop up Tikka Masala or what ever I was eating. They were always accommodating to provide me american utensils of knife and fork 🙂 Indians as a general rule use only 1 hand to tear and scoop.

Looks so fun and what a array of flavors. Have you tried Indian food? Its also fun and delicious 😋

Because of my bad genetics i cant eat too much meat so any culture that can make veggies look that good and tasty deserves to be appreciated more. The red lentils look fire. I think Ethiopian, Indian, and Persian food does veggies the best.
