Few Leaders have this kind of courage and conviction to stand up, without fear, and say, "This is the right thing to do, deal with it." Most "leaders", live in fear of loosing a vote they may never have had.

Paul Keating was right about the J curve. He was brave and he believed in things like the labor politicians of old. He has my respect, and a sweet POV on Tony Abbot. He may have had a negative effect on some aspects of worker rights, but again, they had to be done. Bit far to call him "Torie". I lived through the eighties, and they were tough all over, but the legacy is one to be proud of. Nobody slung insults like Paul, and sadly they probably never will again.

Wow, being so young it is refreshing to see this. I think time has done Paul Keating an injustice to how smart he actually was.

We have nobody of the calibre we need in politics. Those we need refuse to go into politics for the sticky muck it's become.

As much as we can all appreciate his frankness and long for another politician like him... remember that he lost the next election in a landslide...

John Laws was a legend in his day, and considering what technology was back in the day, I suppose he would have had to say it so quickly. Just as well it changed to 13 13 32 in 1994. Looking at all of these clips of Lawsie back in the 90s reminds me that he actually was quite good and then completely lost it within the last 10 years. 1992 (when this clip was filmed) was also the big year that Ray Hadley became his understudy, and we all know what Ray's up to now of course.

Don't worry, hindsight is 20/20. One day the people of Australia will come to see this much maligned man as the hero and visoinary he is.

Here we are in 2022 and the same views as the talkback callers are coming out again in conservative opposition to the "Voice" And getting an "open mic" in the mainstream media.

Hi there, I just wanted to get in touch re the 'Paul Keating 2UE 1992 on Mabo Talk Back Radio John Laws’ video that was uploaded through your channel. I’m a Melbourne based sound artist and I’m looking to use the audio for a project - I was hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction, to obtain and seek permission to download this interview? Thanks
