Thank you for this. I am a social worker for a nonprofit legal firm and work with clients in various of immigration cases; families in the community and clients who are detained with immigration. I have been doing this for some years now and I have felt tired more this year. I am noticing how I carry the trauma with me and it is affecting my health... this to say that this came at a perfect time. I appreciate you.

You asked the right question: Are we really resting the right way? Throughout my years taking holiday breaks and summer breaks I've learned how to really rest, I analyzed and moved my priorities around and shifted my mindsets about certain things that caused stress vs. peace. Thank you for this post, I'll be sharing it with my followers, such valuable information to think about

Thank you for this video and teaching the difference! It explains why earlier this week (recovering from COVID) I was resting loads but after a few days got quite restless so started by decluttering minimum one drawer a day in my house. I'm not sure if decluttering counts as recharging but I normally don't have the energy for this kind of task during the social work working week or weekend, and it's definitely helping me feel better and more relaxed in my space😊

I’ve been doing walking and guided prayers and it is something I look forward to now on a daily basis. I always love your content. ❤ I had to take a break as an empath working with young people and community. Turning 40 this year, I wanted to do that in peace and quiet with no activities planned lol. Thanks for this video! ❤

Hi! My name is Shannon and I am starting my masters in social work!! I have been thinking a lot about School Social Work and I found your page! So thankful for your videos so far!! I was just recently care giving and then I was a program coordinator for an afterschool program, but I just resigned because of burnout. I know there is burnout in social work, but I think in a different way. I am now working part-time and doing school and I am excited to embark on this journey!! Thank you for who you are! Are you a Christian?

Just subscribed. All of it well needed and will take action on separating rest. This is truly intentional living even with rest. Thank you

I go to interviews , and they go well , they like me . But then I get the email that reads " thank you for applying and it's nice to meet you . But we have gone with another participant" Ugh so frustrating.
