Glad you mafe it home safely. We don't get a lot of snow in the Netherlands normally but it will be windy the coming days. Time to crochet! After seeing the lovely yarns from fangirl fibers every vlogmas, I will check them out (bit scared of the import tax 🫣)

I was raised in the UP of Michigan. Got to be a pretty good driver in snow. I've been living in Ireland for almost 10 years. It snowed the second year I was here, and it closed the town down for a few days. Nhappy to be living here and haven't owned a car since moving here…

Star Wars Goonies. I had the exact same thought. With a little side of Pirates (and I don't know I'd think that but one of the guys in the port totally had the same makeup as Bill Nighy from the second movie.) And for some reason I'm also getting strong Explorers vibes - but I couldn't tell you why.

@@ericallerton809 we’re surrounded by lakes in my area too! Not too much lake effect by us but definitely up at my parents place!

One of the Green Bay TV stations shared a short segment on snow squalls in early November as a “heads up” so we’d know what it meant. They said they used the term last winter and had a lot of questions about it. Snow squalls, polar vortexes - yay, Wisconsin!
