Did you learn to fly in the lake district? What's a rough estimate of how much money you spent on lessons/kit etc

I learnt with Flysussex. 2 day taster and a 5 day course, bout £1000. Second hand kit could set you back about £1500 if you shop well, wing, harness and reserve.

@@Ripstop_pilot can you fly through winter in the uk or is it mainly a summer sport due to the wind/conditions?

@@Ripstop_pilot Sussex is a bit far for me as I live up north, but I’ve found some courses available in the Lake District, having a look into it now. Appreciate the responses mate
