This video sorta rubbed me the wrong way. Saying that Plato sat in a cave? and your explantation of his videos downplays his philosophy and especially metaphysic part. Making it seemed surface level when it was a lot deeper plus you make it out to be that Aristotle is the linear progression of Plato when in reality he was not a platonist and Platonism continues further with other philosophers.

You should read “The Death of Socrates”, based on historical evidence. Socrates was anti-democratic and classist (looking down on the working class / trade). He taught the men who went on to oppose a harsh dictatorial rule on Athens. Many died in this period. This was why Socrates was put on trial. Study the facts don’t just repeat trite stories.
