As usual, you brought to light a very important subject that is one of the main diseases of our society. The media and especially social media, has effectively erased live interaction and dialogue among people. Moreover, many people with no critical thinking take what they read hear and see in the media as being the absolute truth with catastrophic consequences in all sectors of human society starting from politics.

Yes it's horrifying. But not just critical thinking, also bad faith actors, who are simply pursuing their own interests, without a particle of concern for others.

No it hasn't, people still talk nonsense, just like they did when I was young. People talk to stop their brains from working. Almost nothing they say is worth hearing.

Funny, I had this intuition a long time ago... as usual, nothing knew :)

It shore does appear ineffable.

Ha ha, what nonsense. This implies Plato is the bad guy for recording what Socrates said, without which you would have no knowledge of Socrates at all, and hence no argument. Socrates is an example of a fool held in high esteem by other fools.
