Soda has a point that RTS are stressful af. You don't get a break ever. I think, it is one reason why the genre is so unpopular today in contrast to other genres. In MOBA and tacFPS, you need to multi-task less and usually get short breaks from time to time. Also, RTS are usually balanced around and competitively played in 1v1, but people prefer team games for the social/team aspect and for being able to blame others for their losses. And, RTS has less permutations/matchups and thus less chaos/dynamic compared to MOBA and battle royal. Still, one of my favourite genres. The hands-on learning series with Soda is A LOT of fun, Grubby! Sometimes I think you control his units a bit too much though.

@Ch4nKyy3 ай бұрын
@@dankmemes8254 But that is from the toxicity of the community, not the game. From my experience, high elo RTS are a lot more stressful than high elo MOBA. I never had ladder anxiety in a MOBA.

multi-tasking is just the colloquial word for RTS fast-paced gameplay. i think if you watch this grubby x sodapoppin series you will notice at the start that grubby hates multi-tasking and wants to convince sodapoppin not to learn this bad habit. the way to prevent yourself from falsely believing that you are multi-tasking is by prioritizing tasks, then you complete these tasks faster and faster.
@planetary-rendez-vous3 ай бұрын
I actually like RTS because it's high intensity. Wc3 is cool to me because of how there's constant early action and interaction with the opponent. Other RTS can be a bit snoozy. I'm trying hard to love others but it's just not the same. It's also very fun to watch due to this. But that's just me...

Grubby, your playing was amazing. Especially when you were about to get death coiled, but you understood that you would die if you didnt TP. You waited for the animation and then TP. Good call. Also, SodaPoppin improved a lot. Ive donee 2v2 and its the worst when they dont use their gold and are inefficient. He could follow commands and support when needed. It reminded me of when you did 2v2 with wife. Its much better to have an ally that follows commands, as oppose to higher skill but, cant follow directions

such a fun way of teaching, a little bit of forgiveness if you make mistakes or are a little bit slow on things but still drilling the fundamentals and getting the muscle memory going, Soda was keeping up and doing things autonomously and if prompts had to be given he was doing it right away like he was already thinking about its just because he's new he has to go oh I want to do x I have to press y with his brain there's an obvious delay. Very cool stuff.

Just finished watching the VOD. Really enjoyed it but it's a bit of a shame that HORST and his friend ended up stream sniping 3 times in a row. This was supposed to be an opportunity for Sodapopping to improve and it ended up being -sure, epic games- but something that Grubby HAD to micromanage Soda's units for. I'm hoping that Sodapoppin and Grubby will have more opportunities to play duo together in the future, this time maybe against opponents of Soda's level.
