I always put my water in the fridge prior to putting it in the SodaStream. Coldwater absorbs more gas. Keep that in mind.

My old one you had to screw the water bottle in but I just bought a new one and didn't know how to attach the water bottle so this was very helpful!

The "press down hard" tip is the BEST! I nearly returned my unit because the water became flat before I could add the flavoring.

This one may be different but in my old one you are supposed to press it until it makes a honking noise then repeat a couple of times.

Yours was the best video I found. Thank you I finally got mine to work! Mine does not taste too fizzy though after a lot of times pressing the button. Did I get a dud C02 cartridge? I’ve seen others complain of the same problem so I’m wondering if that’s as good as it gets ?

About 3 days or longer but it depends on how often you open and close the bottle. : )

When the cannister is empty , is it still heavy? My "empty" one, which won't make fizz, feels as heavy as the new, unopened one. I'm wondering if the old one isn't really empty.

The cannister says it's 'tare weight' on the top of it somewhere, and it's about 1.65 lbs empty. The CO2 content inside when it's full is only about 14 ounces so it will feel almost the same full as it does empty :) The only way to tell how much Co2 you have left would be to weigh your cannister, but the easiest way is just tasting your water after fizzing it.

Yes, about 2 days if you open and close the bottle repeatedly. I try and not leave the bottle opened for too long. : )

No. The bottle locks in when you click it back.

When we pushed in the bottle The gas is still escaping so it isn’t doing it properly 😭

When you push in the CO2 canister, make sure to screw it into place. When you push in your empty bottle, make sure you push it up hard and lock it into place. Hopefully you have it worked out by now. : ) Sorry fore the late response.
