I recarbonate the flat drinks all the time. You just have to monitor and slowly pump the gas in. I have a manual soda stream and didn't know there were automatic ones. The manual one is good enough for me and I can really control how the gas is entering the liquid. Just keep pushing the button and watching the coke or whatever drink so that it doesn't gas over. Then leave the bottle attached for a while. After a minute of so take the bottle off and it tastes exactly like the original.

Sugar is added after carbonation, so add water until the line.

@EverythingPractical Only for water 💧, if you are doing anything other than water you want to be below the line to allow for expansion and less mess / clean up.

If you are below the line, you just blow the CO2 on the liquid, and it is not efficiency injected. The injection needle should be submerged, hence the line. If you want to do it like that, go for it. But I will not recommend using the machine line this.

I flavour all my drinks first and I just gas them up more slowly. I put some gas in and then wait and come back and put more in. I gas up 5 bottles with glucose and flavour. You get a nice custom flavour drink that is fructose free. I use pina colada mix and other mixes. The mixes do have a small amount of fructose but not significant. You can also just use the small flavour bottles from the Asian store. Banana, blueberry, strawberry and may other flavours. The also sell vegetable color if you want to deepen the color. They also sell a blueberry syrup in the same section of the store with pancake syrup. You can use that to make a blueberry drink. Just a small amount of flavour and glucose to sweeten it.

You can use any liquid , I carbonate flat drinks all the time and I always add the flavours and sugars first. You just need to practice how much gas you are putting in and then wait to let the gas settle and then pump more gas in . I might do that 10 times to get a nice fizz. Also I use glucose powder to sweeten so that my drinks have zero fructose. Then you can experiment with different flavours. You might get overflows sometimes but it is not the end of the world.

when you re-corbonate a "soda" / drink with syrup, BEFORE you release the bottle from machine, you have to tap the sides of the bottle to "drop the bubbles". These bubbles is what causes the explosion. You can do this if you drop a soda can / beer. You heard of people tapping the top of a can.. but, tapping the sides is what works best. Look up other videos on this subject. Proof it out for another video ;)
@jeffbguarino6 ай бұрын
I heard about tapping a beer can but never tested it out. I thought it might be a prank advise. I gas up old coke and pepsi all the time, I am just careful not to put too much gas in all at once. Then I wait a while before removing the bottle. Most of the time it works. I need to hone my skills a little more. Also I don't think he mentioned that the bottle is supposed to drop down about 1/8 inch when you start putting gas in. I just found that out today. I know mine was dropping down and I though it was a defect.

It is the O-ring. It might be dirty or sticky from some overflowed drinks. You can try spinning the bottle a little and then pull forward hard and out. Mine stick sometimes also. Also I just found out today , when you start pumping in the gas, the whole bottle drops down about 1/8 inch. This is supposed to cause the O ring to seal better. I didn't know that and I thought my soda stream was defective. The O ring is also the new system and it is not as good as the old ones where you actually screw the bottle on. Screwing it on makes a better seal. This is what they were saying on Redditt. So Soda stream makes the "new and improved" version which is worse than the old one. They sell the old ones still at Walmart. I wish I would have bought the screw on model.

i recarbonate soda and add syrup before carbonating all the time, but i have a terra. i was annoyed that the guide said not to without a reason so i experimented lol. i just carbonate a few times, let it chill, then repeat until it’s fizzy enough. the key is to let it sit for about a minute or two so it doesn’t overflow when you take the bottle off of the sodastream. after, i give the sodastream another puff without the bottle to clear the nozzle of any liquid and wipe it with a cloth. because i only use sugar free syrups and sodas and have a non-electronic sodastream, ymmv because the nozzle may clog or mold may grow more easily if you let it overflow, and electronic components may get damaged from continual overflowing.

Using cold water is key. If you don't have cold water or you already drank what you had and need more, there is an easy and quick workaround. Put ice into a pitcher. Add water. Stir. Now you have cold water. Pour the cold water only, no ice, into your Sodastream bottle and go for it. You can pour the finished drink over the ice if desired. No waste. This trick can help deal with cold tap water that is always warm, like it is in my area. Or if you are out at a picnic or some place that doesn't have truly cold water. All you need is plenty of ice.

Have had mine for some time and love it. My one messy lesson, don’t fizz up homemade fruit water! It’s a mess! 😂🤣

I learned a lot from the Tips and Tricks. I got a portable 1/2 liter bottle and it was way over carbonated. Help line didn't under what I was asking. Now I know what to do.

🤔 what if you boil down the flat soda into a syrup?
@EverythingPractical2 жыл бұрын
And then?? You can already just buy the syrup, you know 😉
@imasahm13 Жыл бұрын
@@EverythingPractical - Maybe so, but I would like to know the answer to Mister's question as well, since I don't like wasting flat soda. Thanks

What is the question? "What if you boil down flat soda into a syrup? " Answer: then I suppose you have a syrup... 🤷♂️
