Had a cold last week, by the time I felt better the sun had left us and most mad set in. Still got out there on Saturday to visit this hillfort and make the best video I could at short notice however 👍

Great video Ken-One of the Hillfort's I have yet to see if you trawl back through my vids one will answer your water question ( Later after this a big name on YT replicated my idea 😢) Anyway totally enjoyed your video 👍

Maybe in 800 BC there was a water source that has since been lost or has changed course? Those banks are high, and you don't realise it until up close.

Yes the banks are actually massive, they are the same size all the way around. On 3 sides its double banked, and on the side looking out to Wales, (the view wanted to see) there is 1 bank (the one I showed) with the trees which are only from the last 50 years apparently. the whole;e water source thing is really interesting, as Historians are baffled by it themselves. But yes the answer could be the water source changing, or perhaps wells that were filled in, and cannot be found. Amazing earthworks though, I'm glad I made the visit. Thanks for watching

@kens-creations Well you have a top notch channel,Ken. Enjoy very much these forays into our past. I grew up in Pembroke and was surrounded by history. Few appreciate it, though. So thank you. To feel part of something,a sense of belonging, is fundamental to our inner serenity and sense of purpose.
