Edit: As someone else pointed out in the replies, this video is most likely strictly SA representation. I'm sorry if my "theory" was insensitive to the video's theme and/or the creator. Stay safe, everyone. Original comment: Since everyone is theorizing about the meaning, I'd also like to point out that Sodikken's songs seem to revolve heavily around trauma and abuse. I think those are present in this song as mental, emotional, and even sexual (considering the nature of the video). I think the main character (MC) is distrustful of others, but is tricked or guilt tripped into letting someone (Green Hands) in. Green Hands makes MC feel good and happy while taking advantage of him. In my opinion... MC's coat and hesitation symbolize distrust. MC's choice of underclothes symbolizes a hidden desire to open up to someone. MC didn't want to open up to Green Hands, but was coerced and abused. Eventually, he was made to believe it was alright, and ended up getting broken. Green Hands now has to find someone else to be their toy.

Also maybe the instruments represent MC's body/emotions? I say body because at 2:28, the green hand is still touching/caressing(?) the piano (/=his body), while no sound is playing. I mean, I know that when the green hand is not playing, it stills float over the piano like that... but it honestly disturbs me, cuz when the angel dogs aren't playing, they aren't moving (while green hand does). And I say emotions because... ripping off someone's skin like there could represent like going deeper into the person, like breaking/going through someone's safe space shell/usual boundaries ? And at this point, it's easier for Green Hands to access and play/toy with MC's feelings/emotions (because they're deep enough in intimacy/trust ig) and so, as you said, maybe guilt-tripping him or manipulate/toy him. After toying MC so much, MC just ends up broken. Also maybe the angel dogs represent MC's thoughts/doubts ? I mean, Green Hands kind of brings them to MC, and then the dogs stick around him until he's broken. And by writing this, I notice the dogs could also represent Green Hands' bad intentions. After Green Hands ripping off the coat and the first part of skin, dogs are also ripping the other skin parts. It's like, after Green Hands did the first thing against MC's consent (which leads him to break a part of his "shell"), its intentions continued to rip him apart. After that, they began softly (by playing the instruments/feelings). It didn't seem harmful at first, and it kinda drawn MC curiosity. And then next, it began to be more violent/harmful, and it alarmed MC (by seeing what could represent his heart beat), but he just dealt with it if we can say it like that and ignored it. He kind of acted like nothing happened after that. He felt a bit uneasy with it, but Green Hands regained his trust (what you said "feel good and happy"), and then did the violent thing again. MC couldn't take it anymore and it ended up broken him. Green Hands yet didn't stop, and continued until it and its intentions got caught by someone, but it was too late, and the one who caught them didn't really seem to care much about the MC, the "merchandise" (it's just my opinion ofc, but it kinda sounded like "oh dang shit how am I gonna deal with this broken thing now" like if it was a burden?). Also, at the start, MC really looked to be some random person chilling in a park, not a merchandise, neither an object. Maybe the word "merchandise" is how MC or the one that should be MC sees/saw themselves after what happened: a toy, an object (that you could play with in exchange of something (the "feeling good" part?)). But this can also applies to MC's emotions like I said. Because : Green Hands brought the doubts with it and gave them to MC, and it stick with him 'til the end. And after the first violent thing, MC's feelings reassured him (which is why he acted like nothing happened). But they eventually became destructive thoughts/feelings or intense feelings of fear/panick, and it was too hard for MC to handle them and he ended up broken. Some leftovers of his feelings remained before all of his emotions left after Green Hands got caught (so, he eventually felt empty or numb). so idk Sorry, that could have seemed like I'm just completing or going deeper in your (great) theory (that helped me understand more what was going on), that's kinda repetitive, long, messy, and it's just all a guess, but I'm not used to write comments like these ^^; Hope anyway that it could have helped a bit :0 and thanks if anyone actually read everything zidbzkskal

Something else I noticed were his legs. Throughout the video if you watch them you’ll see that they start opening and then close back up and it matches exactly with his face where he then kinda looks away or gets nervous. This goes along perfectly with MC wanting to let someone in but not wanting to get hurt so he’s cautious. Then ofc at 2:28 the “hands” finally convince him to by saying “if you show your organs the sky will applaud” which is very obvious yet subtle if you think about it . Also the “hands say it in a very calm and trusting voice then it gets louder when MC let’s them in and then MC breaks. Then he trusts the hands and you watch his face start to like he’s finally enjoying it and and HIS LEGS OPEN UP!! And you can also see a pulsing heart in the back like that’s his heart then they shatter when he “breaks”!!! That shows that he’s finally starting to trust the hand and then he gets broken and the end dialogue really just ties it in tho with the “ what was that? Was it the wind? (Other sentence that I forgot😭) and at 2:53 which is implying to the watcher(us) that MC is just an object. (Hence the title “you’re useless” or “useless you”. One of my favorite sodikken videos because of all the small details.

I feel like nobody is talking about how the creatures continue to "play with him" after he's broken. Maybe its some kind of allegory to personal and sexual relationships or one night fun? Like, all the sudden interactions, popping the guy bubble. The serpent thing with arms could symbolize a guy who likes to do the dirty? Because one of the many things u see during the act is your hands and the person you're doing. And in those moments one is usually cuddly and super close. Kinda like a snake when eating or similar to how snakes reproduce. Or maybe it could go by a darker path and symbolize predators.. but i doubt it. And then when the act starts. it doesn't seem that anyone's said their takes on this yet, so i'll put mine out here to start this out i wanna say this video portrays something very distinct to me and it does it all too well story out of the picture, the art looks fabulous i love the way so many mediums mix in your videos, mediums i could never imagine working together so organically the way each video is something completely new and yet still distinctly your style if anyone reading is triggered by s/a please do not read the following part it seems the main character reluctantly agrees to something sketchy he clearly had to be persuaded into, something he wouldn't normally do once he agrees, the person asking is exctatic. they cut him off from the outside world and don't waste time on the deal they agreed on, undressing him and doing whatever they please they cross his boundaries and go even further, reaching and tearing something private out of him. he's shocked and confused. they proceed to rip him open more, exposing every little thing there is to show and then they play on it, they use his most private, most hidden things as instruments, tools for their own entertainment everytime someone pulls his strings he seems to enjoy it more, despite trying to not let it be shown, trying to keep his pride once it happens enough times though, he decides to give in. he comes to terms with it and even starts liking it openly i'm assuming this symbolises unhealthy attachment, being forced to like something unwanted as it's done to one repeatedly and right then, when he starts finding it bearable, when he finds it might actually not be so bad, when something horrible brings him pleasure he can't deny anymore, he gets used until he's broken the only things i see in this are horrible metaphors, but maybe that's just me in any case, thank you for reading give me a hug, i know you need one too be safe

This is the type of messed up shit I love to watch before bed All jokes aside, this is most definitely about sexual abuse and (possibly) hypersexuality. The snake-Onceler-thing “playing” with the sweet guy obviously represents the abuser toying with the victim. He makes himself feel trustworthy, then fucking messes with him until he breaks. Here’s the thing about the hypersexuality part of the theory. The man, I’ll call him Kigai (I chose that name because of the pain he’s in) is the victim. But he starts to open up and look fine through most of the beginning of the video. A little rattled, but around the end, Kigai starts to look even happy about what is happening to him. Yes, then he breaks after, but I feel that adds more to my theory. The victim started to open up, maybe enjoy what was happening to him, then the abuser uses that to their advantage, “breaking” him severely. But that’s not even the end! They continue to “play” with him, even after he broke, meaning the abuser probably still abused the victim even after they couldn’t take it anymore/broke. I also assume the angel dogs are there for weird/cute points, but they may also represent other people learning about the abuse and not doing anything, or even maybe helping the abuser do it. There is so much detail and lore in every one little video by Soddiken (the man, the myth, the legend). However, there seems to be a theme of abusers and manipulation in a lot of Soddiken songs. I hope he is ok right now. Everyone, remember these things: • A hesitant yes that you had to heavily persuade them to get is 100% a no. • Check on your friends when they’re feeling down, might have had an abuse encounter recently, or even if they seem happy. I think (while not understanding the lyrics yet) that the song is based on the idea of people becoming "broken" and who's responsible for that. The green gloved person sets up a sexual situation with hesitant permission and "invites" other beings to play with him right away. Eventually it makes the person "break"-and the gloved person blames the other beings for it, but set up the situation. Leaving the body behind as it leaves off-screen. It shows how one hesitant "yes", which should still be taken as a no, opens the gate to more issues and even less boundaries. To become an object. "Merchandise" for the person in control of you. A toy to show off to friends and then be forgotten. Since that's often how it is. Folk who abuse or harm others will keep doing it until the victim is "broken", either emotionally or physically, and then abandons them for it. I love the abstraction and how you have to theorize about it and just how fun the song still comes off with some amazing visuals!

This oddly reminds me a bit of Gomenne Gomenne by Kikou. It both uses opening someone up (in the literal sense) as (what I believe to be the case in this song) a metaphor for sexual trauma. The MCs in both these songs seem to believe that they have to please and make others happy to be of any worth (which obviously isn’t true), as is also shown through the English name for the song, “Useless You”. The instruments I believe symbolized the fact that the gloves are playing with him, caring more for their own desires, as if he were some toy (which is symbolized in the fact that he is considered to be merchandise by the person at the end). I believe the winged dogs are to symbolize that he things that the gloves are good to him, even though they are using him for themself.
