I'm a huge, HUGE Sodom fan and the new album is already really promising. I don't understand the stubborn as fuck people that just want Persecution Mania/Agent Orange over and over and over again. One of the many reasons why Sodom became my favorite band is because how they slightly tweak their sound with each album. They've been dirty and punk (Get What You Deserve), death metal (Tapping the Vein), mid-paced and melodic (In War and Pieces) or just a speedfest (Epitome of Torture). This one sounds like a combination of Epitome styled riffing with the kind of vocals used in their most blackened/death oriented works. Those inflexible fucks are the reason why thrash is usually so stagnant and repetitive.

In War and Pieces is my favorite Sodom album honestly. The ones after it haven't been quite as good but they're always reliably decent. Agent Orange and m16 are my two favorites after War and Pieces. This song sounds promising, not amazing but not bad at all by any means, and I notice bands tend to tease new albums by releasing the weaker cuts first so this definitely bodes well for the new album.

'In War And Pieces' is a first to last fantastic record, indeed! Propably it's my favourite, too. I have to admit, that I don't really know all of Sodom's records. But I know the so called "classics" for sure and I think that 'In War And Pieces' is better than 'Agent Orange'. To me even 'Better Of Dead' is better than 'Agent Orange'. Everything since Bernemann joined as the guitar player is pure gold to me! And Sodom in gerneral are my favourite Thrash Metal band from Germany, 'cause they aren't doing the same over and over again.
