Sodom is in my opinion the most brutal thrash metal band ever yet so underrated compared to other thrash metal bands like slayer. Definitly should be talked more about.

@@narcisraiciu6919 In the sign of evil had 0 influence on Slayer lmfao(and before you speak about Blasphemer-Chemical warfare, in the sign was released worldwide on 1985 and was exclusive to Germany for its 1984 release), if anything it influenced 1st wave black metal. In fact Slayer's Hell Awaits was the prototype for Sodom's Persecution mania as Frank Blackfire was skeptical to join them after hearing Obsessed by Cruelty so they gave him a copy of hell awaits and told em that was the sound they wanted, and then he finally accepted to join. And not to mention the blatant rip off they did on Agent Orange-Death Squad(Sacred Reich). I love Sodom but dont spew random bullshit.

@@derekobs9688 Sodom had a influence on the upcoming Death Metal even Chris Barnes from SFU bought a Tape back then in his local record store and of course the Black Metal that started in the 1990. And you can say that Sodom was kinda first wave black metal in the beginning.

Damn every fucking album, every song, everything about this band from 'In the Sign of Evil' onward has been true thrash metal - including 'Masquerade in Blood' irrespective of all naysayers. I've never heard Tom use the death metal vocal like that before. I understand the vocal changes in Tapping the Vein and stuff like that. I honestly thought it was someone else and then you hear parts here and there of him. (the stuff I'm referring to is his M-16 kinda vocal). I like this and i need to go reserve it tomorrow. Forgot to do it today. Been too busy with Kreator and Obituary lol

I like it! Sodom is still awesome! This is true thrash! Fast and really heavy! Like Sodom. Good job, Angelripper! Kreator is doing well too. Phantom Antichrist is one of their bests. And also Destruction is still great. Spiritual Genocide is a piece of incredible thrash. Long live German Thrash Metal!

Sure I´m not saying that this album is like tapping the vein, but it has elements from it such as the guttutal voice and some of the guitar sound. By the way, Tapping the vein is my favorite Sodom album!!! but I have never considered it as a death metal album, Greetings : )

Well i personally think this song is something new and something good, you can't expect a band to always do the same thing they've done for 20 years.
