Sodor: Dark Times - The Enemy, Anger

Here is the second installment in my Dark Times Series. Alfred the Loaned B12 debuts in this episode; however his character is not what it seems externally. Gordon secretly uncovers some compelling things regarding Alfred (whether they be bad or not...)
I want to evoke some form of anger in you from this episode. The first one was sad, this one is made to make you feel angered. Moreover, if you can, you can see slight red tints throughout the episode in tense moments; this helps the brain in realizing an angry moment is arising. Also notice how the colors seem to get darker towards the end of the video. This is all symbolization.
Assume what you want at the end, however obvious it is...

Still stands out as a masterpiece even now. I certainly am pleased to see that the story of the Dark Times is not yet done and you passed it over to Carson so that he can continue your proud work. What I would very much like to see is Alfred being sent for scrap back when he was simply 98462 under the Fat Controllers orders after the near fatal accident he'd previously caused with Henry and Alfred somehow escaping the cutters torch as he was able to get a whole new identity and continue to work in England before eventually turning his malice to Sodor once more. Someone had to have bought him and saved him from that fate either to fuel his hatred further or because they believed they were saving a harmless engine. Alfred was pegged as the main villain but nevertheless there was clear human involvement. His crew certainly had to enable Alfred to do what he did and no doubt it was an inside job for people to even get the fat controller to buy back the very engine he had once sent away; of course the fat controller did not know this.

The only way I see 98462 escaping scrap is if he somehow stole another engine's identity. What if there was a green B12 named Alfred who assumed 98462 was a poor, harmless brother engine sent for scrap and tried to help him escape, only for 98462 to steal his identity and have it so he's the one to get scrapped?

A very good theory and definitely one that deserves consideration :) By the next episode we'll see who was caught in the crossfire of the explosion; by the looks of it Thomas was probably killed. It certainly is an interesting twist to have a Steam engine as a villain because normally in the Thomas universe; an evil character is normally a Diesel.

The reason why Alfred isn’t used in the series because he was killed during the war here where I am on sodor. It’s a real place after all. Alfred was a war hero and this film makes everyone think he is the exact opposite

I may be new here, but from what I've seen, This has got to be the best non-canon Thomas-related series I have ever seen (on KZbin that is). You've taken elements from the books and the television series to make something so fantastic, so thrilling, that it just makes me want to view it over and over... and you've made most of these character-models on Trainz06... it's just fantastic. One thing that still puzzles me about this series is the engine that put the gunpowder wagons at the station that engine is bound to be still alive since he would more than likely have left the area before the explosion unless it was a kamikaze mission.

The impact kind of changed is all I can say. I guess when I thought Henry died because of his illness I started comparing it to the sudden loss of a loved one in real life which is why I considered it more Disturbing but either way I love the twist and I hope to see more :)

I think that the damage was not shown because there was not a model of Henry with that kind of damage at the time this was filmed. The writer definitely was clever with his resources, he made it seem like Henry had horrific physical damage even though the model was probably the same one that was in all the shots Henry was used in. Sorry for the rant I really like the work on films behind the scenes.

Yes I agree. 98462 and Alfred would be depicted as the same character in later projects. I find the original depiction more interesting.

When Alfred was finally needed on the railway since TFC needed another engine; he could finally put his plan into action. Henry was the perfect target 5 years ago to pave the way for it since Henry wasn't that well and TFC (and his engines) would've assumed Henry died naturally.

It adds a twist to this story but I think the sudden bang that seemed like a general defect was the creepiest of them all. Henry dying naturally definitely seemed creepier than the fact he really was murdered. You really do know how to tell a good story though; keep up the good work.

Not gonna lie Alfred (along with Diesel 10) used to scare the hell out of me as a kid but I stopped getting scared of them when I think I was around 8 or 9. I also remember shortly getting scared of when the grabber was about to get Stepney so I ran upstairs and when Henry arrived at the haunted forest as well as sort of when the Old Iron Bridge engine fell off but they were only one time things.

Nope; he's not reviving Henry. The meaning of his death would be ruined if he came back. It makes getting back at Alfred that much more entertaining; that is if Gordon actually does get the chance to strike back. In this series there's no way of knowing who the victor will be good or evil; we shall see.
