Sody seems like such a dear lady. She kept promoting Bob’s legacy after he passed, and now her children do.

I loved this show when I was a little kid. I only saw it when we visited relatives in Springfield, Mass. Many years later I discovered that nothing in Massachusetts is very far from anything else. In 1950 it was like going to another dimension, where they had DIFFERENT TV. I went nuts over an arc that featured "Stuporman," I remember this as being drawn on a blackboard without animation. I wasn't as crazy about the cartoon version later, but there was some amazing stuff there as well, and the even had LORD BUCKLEY (voice) star in a "beatnik" episode. I love Chuck Jones, but Clampett was by far the cwaziest.

this is GREAT!! a shame they arent doing what the Burr Tilstrom Trust is doing (transferring the existing "Kukla Fran and Ollie' kinescopes and posting them, here, on KZbin) with the extant materials.

It comes down to ownership; who owns the rights to the old show recordings. It’s the reason why most of the TerryToon cartoons are under lock and key. CBS owns the property now and it’s up to them what’s done with the library.

CBS suffers from a syndrome of 'its MINE MINE MINE MINE'. most corporations do. a shame we've extended copyrights to such long terms. they dont deserve such consideration. the public domain is a legacy that is being stubbed-out by greedy people who had nothing to do with creating anything. :)
