Good Video, just purchased this for the price I don't think it can be beat. I own a Harmony Ultimate one for my home theater, it doesn't always work all the time and that retails for at least 150, I have the U1 in my living room I'm gonna sync it in my Home Theater and see how they compare.

I installed 3 smart tvs in my motorhome, same brand and model ,since they use the same type of remote,when I turn a tv off the closest one turns on, so I have to get super close to the tv to use that function (on/off) without interfering with the other one ,my question is:can I use (program)this remote to turn on/off each tv individually ??

I have a couple Logitech Harmony 665's and I'm looking for a replacement remote that can handle Activities exactly the same as the Harmony. My first Activity is called "Kodi". It turns on my TV, Receiver and Intel NUC (running Libreelec) and it switches the Receiver's HDMI Input all with a touch of 1 button. My second Activity is called "TV" and I can toggle between the 2 Activities with the touch of only 1 button. When I'm done I can press the power button and all my devices will shut off. Will the Sofabaton U1 do this ?

Thats almost the same setup as mine. I was wondering the same as I am hesitant to buy yet another Logitech as they die within a couple of years and since they have ceased production need something to move to. I was also wondering can it control a PS3 and PS4?

@@robinbebbington7063 I have not found a good replacement for the Harmony 665 but did manage to buy 2 new ones as spares before the prices skyrocketed. Best Buy may still have some in stock.

I have a few Harmony 650 and 665 remotes. I just got the SofaBaton U1. After adding devices and doing a little research, it looks like this will do the job pretty well. The trick is to add devices, then while having the media device (Roku, Shield, blu-ray player, etc.) selected, reassign buttons to control the other devices. I have volume set to my AV Receiver. I've added to the power button to turn everything needed on and off. It is still new, but it looks very promising.

Except I think he taught the Samsung ok button to sofabaton ok button. The source button is a bit higher up on that Samsung remote,

When I start the app it wants me to login or register. I tried registering on my phone but when I try to enter my info Google voice pops up. Usually I can type in with a keyboard but there doesn't seem a way to get around Google voice. I have to restart my phone to get rid of Google voice that covers half the screen. Is there a computer app or website I can use to register? Thanks

Not entirely thrilled with this remote as there seems to be no way to "punch through" to control volume on an AV receiver while in the STB settings. This may seem minor, but having to switch back and forth with the scroll wheel to adjust volume or change channels ("only pick one" seems to be Sofabaton's theory?) is annoying.

May have to try and see if I can "learn" the volume from the AV remote while in the DirecTV mode, although then there is no way to control the volume on the STB if needed. I guess it's a work around. Why doesn't this allow a punch through option for AV receivers? Even the DirecTV remote does that-it just won't turn my Pioneer Elite on/off.

I had the same issue. What I found out is you can create Macros to each device. when I use Apple tv, I set it up so I can change the volume on my Powered speakers.

steve you can also reassign keys to any key from your other devices, for example you can reassign roku volume keys to your receiver volume keys without having to learn anything.

We need a slightly more advanced version. Perhaps backlit buttons and other improvements. This is just a $50 remote. I don’t think People would mind a $100-150 version. Especially since Logitech is done.

@@skopa1223 Yes, It's called the X1 and it's in Kickstarter now. Also moves IR to hub so you don't have to be line-of-sight anymore.

The app on the phone DOES NOT....or NO LONGER DOES the ‘add device’ that way. There is no ‘add popular devices’. It would be nice if sofabaton updated their link to a video that MATCHED what the app does NOW. Pissed off at Sofabaton.

Didn't work with 2 of my 3 devices. Had to manually program every single button from remotes of those 2 devices. Unacceptable for the price. Once you setup up any custom buttons, there is no way to go back in and check to see what a button is programmed to do. You can only replace a key. Zero help from SofaBaton support.

Users please note: I found that when my phone was connected to my GALAXY WATCH, it would NOT PAIR with the U1. I had to disconnect the Bluetooth from my Galaxy Watch. Best thing, disconnect the Galaxy Watch BEFORE trying to pair.

Hahaha yeah me too. I figured "unboxing" meant it'd have that. :) He does mention briefly that you can open it with a coin or fingernail. That worked for me.

I used two coins, one on each side, and it felt like I was going to break the cover just before it came off. Terrible design.
