The only exception is if they're doing some crazy shady shit behind the scenes to the people who are helping them work on said music. (Producers, engineers, etc.) A lot of these artists' fanbases have gotten this sense of the entitlement out of nowhere, and it's doing nothing but ruining album rollouts and the creation of albums as well. I get some of these artists lie, go MIA for long periods of time, and aren't transparency with their music-making process, but waiting a long time for an artist to fully flesh out an entire project is better than uprooting the entire thing before the rollout even officially starts IMO. These leaks don't do anything but stunt the development of the projects you guys supposedly "want", so I don't see how supporting leaks but complaining about an artist taking too long to drop makes any sense.

Faygo was my top artist on my Spotfy Wrapped for 2 years in a row and even I can say that last song wasn't it. IMO it's mainly because all his hard shit keep getting leaked so to stay "active" Faygo has to release some bs to compensate. It's really sad and we're seeing just how terrible leaking can be on an artist's career. We've seen people in the past get their shit leaked (like Lil Wayne during his "The Leak" era) but those have always been established artists who already have standing within the mainstream. This has to be the first era where EVERYONE music is getting leaked regardless of how popular, like Osamason got his entire life's work in music leaked and bro is smaller than Faygo, that shit has an effect on an artist not only legacy wise but mentally. Image your shit that you've spent months, or even years trying to get right for release gets leaked, that can derail a rollout which could've been THE rollout that would've blown you up. Anyone would feel some type of way, I'm not mad at Faygo, I'm mad at his team and the leakers man because Faygo has the talent to be mainstream, its just that everything that could go wrong, seems to always go wrong for him. He's not done by any means, but it'll be hard for him to get back to the "Knock Knock" level of hype, let alone mainstream, if his shit keeps getting leaked.
