Yarshar koach, Yehoshua! Apart from being very instructive in the art and skill of sophros, viewing this is also tremendously relaxing!

This is marvelous. I am a calligrapher who uses western hands (uncial, insular, textura, etc). This is so relaxed. What I am seeing is that you are taking un-pressured time to complete each letter. This gives you the ability to enjoy, the work and contemplate not only the importance of the letter but the depth of the sacred words you write. Very beautiful.

Shalom Dovid, You know, I find it quite relaxing to watch myself. These are the letters of creation, both the Torah and the world was made fron them.

Can you prove it with evidence so we know you are telling the truth the emeht?
@yehoshuagoldstein73923 жыл бұрын
@@YisraeliTiger-ez7dy Well the Torah scroll is entirely written using the 22 letters. That requires no proof. As far as the world being created from the Torah, there are a few places where it is mentioned in the Zohar. In sefer Beresheet, introduction, and the Tikkunei Zohar, sorry for not having the exact source locations. Also, look into the Mishna, tractate Avot, chapter 3, Mishna 18, "...that He (G-d) gave them a precious vessel (the Torah) with which He (G-d) created the world..."

@@yehoshuagoldstein7392 why is there people and chabad jewish organization saying the torah scroll is written in ketav ashuri/ashurit assyrian script or square aramaic script? Chabad a orthodox Jewish organization on their site say the torah was originally written in paleo hebrew called ketav ivri hebrew script and the stone tablets ten words was written in ketav ivri. On the chabad website they show what ketav ivri hebrew script is and it looks like phoenician script, a canaanite people from Lebanon. The Torah is From Adonai, the Torah is sacred, the torah is written in the sacred hebrew language so it must be written in the sacred Ketav ivri hebrew script that we see in Torah Scrolls today and NOT written in ketav ashuri/ashurit assyrian script or square block aramaic. I asked a Israeli from Israel if the torah scroll is written in hebrew script and not in aramaic script, he said the torah is written in hebrew script/letters, same with a yemenite Jew, he said the torah scroll is written in ketav ivri NOT ketav ashuri assyrian aramaic script. I also found an article from chabad, the title is " Torah Scroll Facts", the quote is this, " The Torah we use today in your synagogue is written exactly the same way the Torah was written the very first time by Moses 3,300 years ago. So the quote must be the Torah scrolls we see today is written in Ketav Ivri the Hebrew script and People have lie or said a false statement that the torah is written in ketav ashuri/ashurit assyrian squad block aramaic script.

@@YisraeliTiger-ez7dy let me check that one out and get back to you. But I believe that there is no real argument here. Seems like the only dispute is to the name or shapes of the letters. I do believe that the actual Torah scroll is the very same as Moses originally wrote it by G-d's dictation. None of the words, spacing or even letter shapes were changed since then. It is interesting to note that Sefardim and Ashkenazim do have a slightly varied shape of lettering. They are essentially the same in that they have the same parts and basic shapes, but there are slight variations in how each letter is written. I will research that point as well G-d willing.
