A lot of professional video from the 80s and 90s actually looks great, but most of what we get to see was recorded on low quality consumer VHS tapes and then digitally captured very poorly, then further compressed when uploaded to KZbin.

HD cameras existed in the 90s. People also had access to HDTVs. It’s true that most people only had a tube tv with standard definition and a VHS player but if you could afford it HDTVs and DVD players were available to view and consume HD content. As a 90s kid I find this comment so funny, you make it seem like the 90s was the 80s or 70s.

They had no connection to the art scene or NYC and were not rich. Spike Jonez (real name Adam Spiegel), on the other hand, is a scion of the Spiegel catalogue fortune and comes from an incredibly privileged and well-connected background.

She really SHOULD write a memoir tho! I want the full nitty gritty details of everything she did and the people she met from that time
