TO ALL AUTOTUNE HATERS: This is a message to all people who hate autotune... First of all let's get something straight... "Autotune" is a pitch correction software specific to a certain company. There is no way for us to tell whether or not she used Autotune because there are so many other pitch corrections softwares out there. I am an audio engineer and have seen productions from start to finish. That being said, IMO there is nothing wrong with using pitch correction. For some reason in todays society the only person in a band we expect perfection out of is the singer... how dare us tune their vocal. But think about it... a guitar player wouldn't dare play a song with an out of tune guitar because "thats what it naturally does... is go out of tune". That's ridiculous. It's the same with a vocal... Does it help to have an excellent singer? ABSOLUTELY! Nothing can replace a good singer... But believe it or not, even the best of the best singers use pitch correction. I know you probably think they don't, but they do. I promise. It takes a good engineer to make the correction sound natural... thats why you don't hear it and don't think its there. Think of your favorite singer... I guarantee they use it. Anyway... you are free to have your own opinion about it. Just thought I'd give mine. All that being said, great job Sofia! Keep doing what you're doing :)

I understand where your coming from but a guitar and a voice are completely different things. You do not play a guitar out of tune and then correct it afterwards. And singers also use warm up exercises to strengthen their voice and make it sound in tune like the guitar.Most people are only hating on this because James bay has such a natural and raw voice and I would prefer to hear an acoustic version without software because of how much I love the original.

+Abi Evans I also understand your point... and I agree. Different styles of singing call for different measures of pitch correction. I still stand to my point though... I guarantee there is pitch correction on James Bays version... just maybe a different approach and vision. Back to the guitar comparison... I understand that it's not a perfect comparison. But think of it like this. Guitars are tuned with guitar tuners... they are electronic and designed to get the guitar perfectly in tune. A singer can not do this... they have to rely solely on their ability to sing every note in perfect pitch and perfect timing. I would dare to say that this is humanly impossible. Some people can get darn close, but still not perfect. Pitch correction is just like a guitar tuner, only done after the fact. Like I said before, you can not replace a good singer... which Sophia is :) Anyway... I'll stop now. lol

To me, and this is just my opinion. James Bay's version has SO much soul in it. Is he a great singer too? Yes, but you can FEEL the soul in it. I can't feel the soul in this version. A good singer? THIS IS NOT AUTO TUNED 'PLEASE HEAR ME OUT' i thought at first it had to be auto tuned but messing around with my old marshal amp today i nearly matched her efeects with just the simple equalizer half bass high treble a little reverb and high mid reverb and echo GUYS ITS A SIMPLE EQUALIZER and synths playing in tune with her voice if anything her timing with the track is phenominal
