This is the first time I’ve ever considered buying a backstage pallet. I don’t really know how this formula compares to the original quints but I may have to try this. I’m glad to hear that it’s not like Natasha Denona or Pat McGrath because I am not into pigmented eyeshadow. Thank you for the demo. It’s very helpful!

I love this palette, the light blue all over the lid, the deep purple in the crease and the dark blue in the outer corner, it cannot be a more sophisticated and a more preppy eye-look. It is outstanding! Thanks 💖💖💖

I’m not usually into these eye shadow palettes because I do have a lot of shadows for a normal, non makeup review person, I dont want so many of the same color story I. A palette as I already have a lot of shadows. But this I like because there are a few different color options in one. It would be nice for travel this winter for an icy or a neutral look. And hronia Polla for your nameday yesterday. Not sure if you read Greek so a rough Anglicized spelling. ❤

Agreed. I just sold my Speedy 35 luxrul (I did keep the brown one), my Sofia Coppola perforated LV clutch, my blue Damier clutch I bought in Japan, and the By the Pool vanilla clutch. Kept an orange epi Alma. It feels great!!!

I have other Dior products but have been branching out. I just received my first from CDP, the holiday collection and I think it is Beautiful. Do you like the illuminizer from CDP? I’ve been waiting for Dior to bring out a backstage highlighter with all four pans without bling. I have the copper gold but find I don’t reach for it for my face as has two very very glittery tones and two metallic. It’s really nice as eyeshadows, the more glittery ones both have lovely multi coloured glitter. I suppose it’s actually cheap for a Dior eyeshadow palette.

Well, as much as i'm loving the smoky essentials, the satin pearl shade is absolutely no inner corner highlight..it is a pink-amber transparent highlighter that really is far from that multi-purpose off-white shade that i expected for versatility. I hope this palette won't pull the same joke on me!

I found myself drawn to the soft, ethereal quality of the eye palette, but then I questioned whether I thought of it as classy simply because it’s Dior, and if it was a drugstore palette instead I would consider it lackluster and lacking in pigment.

It really depends on the quint because they aren't consistent whereas the backstage ones are. If I had to summarize I would say that these tend to be softer

Hi Sofia, thank you for the review. I had received an email from DIOR for the Celestial collection.. I had put the highlighter in my cart but wasn't sure if I was going to get it or not. I have the Universal Palette and I really like it so I went ahead and bought the Celestial Palette after seeing your review. The eyeshadow and the Lip Maximizer are a pass for me. I have the Silver Essentials palette also and am looking forward to using it again this year. Take Care!

The concept of the brand is that it’s supposed to look like products that the make up artist would use backstage on the runway. So it’s intentionally minimal and see-through as though it would be in their make up artist kit. But I hear what you’re saying, for the price the packaging being very minimal doesn’t quite match up.
