It's obvious from the moment Hook met Emma his heart was lost. And from that kiss Emma started to wonder if maybe her heart was in trouble, too. She started flirting with him and didn't expect it to stir her emotions so much.

Lana’s (Regina) favorite Disney villain is actually Ursula! And they knew this, so they let her help with making Ursula in this episode. Like how she talks, moves and how she was gonna look. You can totally see how much fun she had in her portrayal! Great reaction, I can’t wait for the next ones

that tease at the end of the video. "We're jumping into the next episode, but the youtube gremlins will have to wait a while longer". i haven't seen this show in a long time to the point where i forgot a lot of what happens. so it's almost like i'm watching it again. it's cool to be watching it with someone who enjoys it as much as I did.

Ariel- Another great reaction like always, Sofie! :) I am happy you enjoyed this episode too! I love meeting Ariel. Ariel is so cute and sweet. I also love that she's naïve and a little ditsy just like she is in The Little Mermaid too. She's a great new character within Once Upon a Time. Plus... The actress chosen to play her is JoAnna Garcia Swisher and she is perfect in the role of Ariel. And The Little Mermaid is another one of my all time favorite classic Disney movies along with Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin too. So, I was so excited to see how they would be bringing its beloved characters and storylines into Once Upon a Time, and for me... they certainly didn't disappoint. :) I also like Prince Eric a lot too, played by actor, Gil McKinney. He plays the character from The Little Mermaid very well in my opinion, and his look is almost perfect. If you pay close attention to his face, I think they got the casting perfect. It's really his hair that isn't right. I wish it was black and a little longer, or shaggier. But aside from his looks, I think Eric is adorable with Ariel when they're together at the ball. And Eric in the Disney movie is a really good Prince and character that I really like a lot. Eric to me was always really handsome. Prince Eric is always charming and very kind, which I love. And I feel like Gil McKinney plays Eric here just like his Disney counterpart. Now... My absolute favorite scene within this episode, is most definitely between the heroes inside Echo Cave with them all revealing their secrets that no one wishes for the others to know. And they aren't so much dark, as they are so sad. Yet Pan hopes the revelations will lead to friction between them and ultimately their demise, and the truths most certainly have begun to do just that, even in ways not fully revealed just yet. And this is where the darkness comes in, which is exactly what Pan wants. I love it!!! I absolutely love Hook's sad revelation to Emma... That it's because of her he feels he can love again since Milah, and Emma has certainly changed him for the better. But Hook has always been a good man. It's just that his pain has caused him to lose the good in him for a long time. But with Emma's help, he's finding his true self again. Also... I absolutely love the idea of Hook with Emma, more so than Emma with Neal. The look in Hook's eyes is so sad, especially even more so later on when we see that he overhears Neal's conversation with Emma once they're all safely out of Echo Cave, as Neal tells Emma that he doesn't plan to stop trying to win her back. So tragic. In regards to Hook's and Emma's history together and why I feel they are better suited for one another... First, they meet for the first time in season two's episode... The Doctor, when he pretends to be a blacksmith in a ruse he and Cora conjure up tot try to get close to the Princesses so he can learn for Cora all he can about them and Storybrooke. However, Emma senses right away that he's lying and binds him to a tree, which is when he introduces himself as Captain Hook. I really feel Hook and Emma have brilliant chemistry with one another from the get go, and their first meeting makes me think of a classic Hollywood meet-cute... An amusing or charming first encounter between two characters that leads to the development of a romantic relationship between them, that has a Once Upon a Time twist to it in a way that I love. In the next episode titled... Tallahassee, Hook and Emma climb the beanstalk together to face off against the giant to steal the compass and Emma leaves Hook cuffed inside the giants' castle. However, during their adventure, Hook and Emma come to know more about one another and that they have a lot in common as they reveal other truths about themselves, and they have some really beautiful moments, especially with their looks. Then, Hook and Emma just continue to interact off and on throughout season two even though Hook is still very much a villain. And finally in the finale for season two... And Straight on 'Til Morning, Emma is able to understand why Hook wants to leave Storybrooke when it's about to be destroyed by Regina's fail safe, as she tells Hook she understands that he would rather run away to keep everyone at a distance and be alone in order to avoid him getting hurt, which is just what she does too, giving them a commonality. And later, Hook comes back because it means a lot to him that Emma reminds him that he could become a part of something. That he no longer had to be alone like he's been for over two hundred years. So for me... I completely understand Hook's feelings for Emma being as they are and him falling in love with her. Emma's given a lot to him and has changed him from being a villain, back into a hero and friend. The good man he used to be back when his brother was still alive and all those years ago before he allows his deep pain to turn him into someone he no longer recognized and whom he hates, when no one else has ever been able to. It means more to Hook than he's ever let on to anyone. And more and more, he's struggling to reveal this to her. Emma isn't as open to him, but given her past with men, especially with Neal, her inability to connect with any man is completely understandable. Yet I think she reveals more to Hook more easily than she is able to reveal to Neal or anyone else. And in regards to Neal's feelings for Emma and his revelation about never giving up on fighting for her, and Emma's revelation that she's always loved him, but hoped that he really was dead because she can't feel the pain he put her through all over again... Once again, I can't help but feel that their feelings for one another haven't really been all that well established, especially because of the whole Tamara fiasco and her being his fiancée. A part of Emma will always love Neal because Neal was her first love, and she did love him once. And she remembers being in love with him, and like it is for most people... most first loves or real loves don't ever go away. However, when they first saw one another in New York in season two's... Manhattan, Emma is angry with Neal and she has every right to be after Neal allowed her to take the fall for the stolen watches, then abandoned her. I really love Emma's confession when she reveals her secret. However, on top of her being angry that Neal is still alive, I feel like Emma is really saying that she can't be with him ever again because he broke her heart one too many times, which is true. He may have hurt her for good reasons, but she didn't know this for eleven years and that's a long time to feel like she did because of Neal's choices. Poor Emma. She's really torn up with how she feels towards Neal. Yes... A part of her will always love him, but a part of her is really struggling to forgive him for abandoning her years ago despite his good intentions, enough for her to allow herself to rekindle their romance. She also still struggles with her parents abandoning her too, so it's understandable. I really hope all of this makes sense. In case I confused you about where I currently stand on who Emma ought to be with should she wind up with either of them... I definitely prefer her to choose Hook. To me, Hook and Emma just have better chemistry with one another and even more in common than Emma has with Neal, in spite of Hook being a villain. Hook and Emma both have things about themselves they need to work on, but I love the bond being developed between Hook and Emma. It's really something special.

To the how many kingdoms question, the practical answer is as many as it serves the plot, but in my headcannon I see most of them as city states with some farmland and forest around, so it could fit many. Maybe some are bigger, but they could have about a handful of larger ones and a bunch of Monacos.

And this brings us to the moment shared between Hook and Emma, as Emma thanks him for saving her father's life... I love, love, love how Hook admits he couldn't allow her father to die or leave him alone on the island to perish, which I believe wholeheartedly that he is completely sincere in his words given the circumstances surrounding his brother's death. And I love how then Hook changes his demeanor as he smugly attempts to gain a kiss from Emma in gratitude. It's clear that while Hook was hoping to earn a kiss from Emma, he is really only being cheeky and didn't actually expect her to give in to him. I love their banter in this moment... And then that kiss!!! What a beautiful moment, as Emma suddenly pulls Hook into a much deeper kiss than he could have ever expected, or than we as fans of this show could have ever expected, after Killian goads her by saying she wouldn't be able to handle a kiss from him after she states her disbelief that he could handle such a kiss from her, and then goes on to try to prove it to him that she won't feel anything if she complies. However, of course they both feel the passion behind their kiss and Hook becomes even more smitten by Emma, while Emma denies she's begun to feel something for him as well, as she tells him that their kiss is only a one time thing, then simply walks away from him after she demands he go get more firewood, to which he responds with a bow... "As you wish." I really love that this is a nod to The Princess Bride. I love it!!! And why does Emma kiss him? I think it's simply because she's feeling good in this moment, and she allows for this good feeling to overcome her in this moment. She had just succeeded in assuring her son that they were coming for him upon getting him their message, and because her father was once again safe upon learning he had nearly died. And I believe she recognizes that it's because of Hook both have happened. Not only did he save her father as far as she knows from David's lie, but Hook had also strongly encouraged Emma to go out and find a way to get her message to Henry before he loses anymore hope. Emma is certainly starting to have feelings towards Hook too, which is pretty clear. At least to us as the viewers. But she most certainly doesn't understand or recognize this yet. Also... We've known that Hook has been smitten by Emma pretty much since he met her back in season two's episode... The Doctor, and more so in the next episode... Tallahassee. And Hook's feelings towards Emma have only grown, especially since she reminded him of the man he used to be and told him he could be a part of something, like I mentioned above from season two's finale... And Straight on 'Til Morning. But Emma's feelings towards Hook have only ever been more of understanding and friendly at best in spite of his valiant efforts to entice her to become more. But since Neal's death, Emma has been feeling vulnerable, upset, and more appreciative of Hook's help to save Henry, as well as his patience and understanding over what Emma's needed to say and hear in all of their talks ever since they've left on their journey to Neverland. And when she learns that Hook has now also saved her father's life, she grows that much more grateful to him. Because of all of this... Emma suddenly gives into Hook's flirtations and seductions. Aside from the obvious attraction to his good looks... Emma doesn't feel any kind of romantic feelings towards Hook. Right now, she's just really hurting and feeling vulnerable and weak. And kissing Hook has allowed for her to forget it all for a brief passionate moment. Again... I really hope this makes sense. What a beautiful moment between Killian and Emma, and it's so hard to not want to see Emma choose Hook over Neal, which is what I've wanted since Hook and Emma first meet back in season two's episode... The Doctor, and especially since Tallahassee where they climb the beanstalk together. This kiss they share here in Good Form... is definitely why so many people immediately became shippers of Captain Swan. Myself included. Although, I was already a huge fan of Captain Swan beforehand, and I have been since Emma's and Hook's first meeting. :) And lastly... I absolutely love the final scene between Hook and Pan again, as Pan returns to taunt Hook once more. Especially upon calling him "a one handed pirate with a drinking problem". So rude! I love how Pan speaks to Hook in spite of being cruel. This scene makes me love Pan that much more for being the villain he is. And I love that Pan then reveals to Hook that Neal is still alive and in Neverland, as he states... "Let's see the kind of man you truly are." Brilliant!!! Overall... What a phenomenal episode, that I love very much!!! So, thank you so very much for your reaction for it, Sofie!!! The next few episodes are really good too! Especially the very next episode!! So, I can't wait for more Once Upon a Time!! Thank you again, my dear friend! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi

I love how Pan was like: “that’s a poison, your king is a savage” (told the truth), and then he showed them the way to the water and basically told them, if your brother leaves, he’s dead (told the truth, again) Why? Uhhh… the goodness of his heart? Like, then the crew leaves and he doesn’t see Hook again in forever Honestly, probably his only good action he ever did in his entire life

Now, as for Hook revealing right away to Emma's parents that Neal is alive and in Neverland... I absolutely love it! And I am so proud of him! I am so happy he does so, because it puts him in a better light and shows that he's changed from being just the villain he was, and proves that Hook really is a man of honor, as he continues to prove that he isn't the same selfish pirate he first was, that especially David and the others still see him as. I'm happy Emma, Mary Margaret, and David are finally starting to come around to seeing Hook as more too. I also love Emma's, Mary Margaret's, and David's revelations too. Poor Mary Margaret and David. I really love how the truth about David being poisoned by the dreamshade and how Hook really saved him has come out at last. And Mary Margaret's confession about wanting another chance to have a baby because they missed out on seeing Emma growing up... so sad and so beautiful. Sadly, Mary Margaret is very angry now with David for keeping his own secret from her. And I completely understand why she is. David should have told her the truth from the beginning, like Hook kept on urging him to do. Regarding Mary Margaret's secret being dark... It is a dark secret because she is ashamed for being upset by how Emma has come back into their lives, and wanting to have another child without magical interference. Ashamed for wanting what Emma couldn't give her, and she's afraid that this truth would hurt Emma very deeply. And from the look on Emma's face the moment Mary Margaret tells her secret, you can see that Emma is upset by this revelation. Even if she doesn't allow her pain to show for long. Next... I love how Emma tells Mary Margaret in the beginning of the episode that she kissed Hook. It's not only a sweet mother/daughter moment shared between them, but I love that Emma is starting to think about Hook enough to want to share a moment she had with him with her mother. However, this moment was also more than that. It's just like I said in my comments after Good Form... Emma had kissed Hook in a sudden moment so she could avoid feeling anything about Neal's death and being so scared for Henry. She kissed him because she was feeling vulnerable and grateful to him, and she fell for his flirtations in a very spur of the moment, moment. However, now that Emma fears Neal might still be alive after all, she's worried about how Neal will react if he were to learn about this shared kiss between her and Hook, and that he's going to try to get back with her. She's also worried about what she still might feel for him too. She now has conflicted emotions and feelings towards both men, especially now that she also suspects Hook has feelings for her too, which is confirmed for her later on when Hook reveals his secret. I think that's really more the problem than anything else. She's also worried about Hook's feelings towards her and worries about how he will act now that Neal is alive again. She suspects he'll worry that Emma will choose to be with Neal over him and that he would leave once and for all, or go back to being a villain again if she's not careful with how she handles his feelings for her. I hope all of this makes sense as well. And in regards to Mary Margaret's extra positivity this season so far, until now anyways... I feel it's because she's trying so hard to overcompensate because Emma is once again calling her Mary Margaret instead of Mom, and because Emma feels like an orphan and Mary Margaret is desperately trying to show Emma she isn't any longer. She's so desperate, that she's trying a little too hard to be so hopeful, positive, and the perfect mother she thinks Emma wants and needs. And this is a part of who Snow White/Mary Margaret is, which I love about her. Once again in the backstory... I love how Ariel does the right thing to save Snow from Regina, and in doing so, that Regina stole her voice so she couldn't tell Eric she loved him. So sad and so cruel on Regina's part. But I absolutely love this whole twist on Disney's, The Little Mermaid throughout the episode with Regina stealing Ariel's voice, and pretending to be Ursula to trick Ariel. I continue to love it when our characters take on multiple roles from other fairy tales that aren't their own. But I also love that Ursula turns out to be real too, and in this revelation, it shows Ursula in the form of a statue. However, this isn't because Ursula is the statue, but because she reveals herself to Regina through the statue's form, as though her spirit possesses the statue. A part of this is also because the creators had yet to find an actress to play Ursula at this point in the show. So, they had to bring her into the show, in a way that doesn't reveal her true form. In an interview... Lana Parrilla mentions to the interviewer that her absolute favorite Disney villain has always been Ursula from The Little Mermaid, and so when she found out she would have the chance to play a version of Ursula, she was absolutely thrilled and so, so happy to be able to do so!! So cool!! :) I also really love how Ariel and Eric, and Eric's Maritime Kingdom all believe that Ursula is nothing more than a myth, or legend and that they pray to her and worship her because she's a Goddess of the seas. It's really brilliant and a beautiful twist on the story! And lastly... I love Regina teaming up with Rumple, and how Ariel has come into the present day storyline. And now... Ariel is about to head to Storybrooke to get something for Rumple and Regina. Oh... I also love how Regina reveals to Rumple that Belle from his mind was actually Pan's Shadow playing tricks on Rumple to mess with his head. Brilliant! It's kind of sad that Belle wasn't part of Rumple's mind like he believed, but I think it's very clever for her to be another of Pan's tricks used against Rumple. Rumple's scene with Pan is fantastic as well, like they always are. Overall... Ariel is such a fantastic episode from this season, and it is easily another of my favorite episodes from this Neverland arc. Ariel and Eric are adorable together. :) Thank you so much again, Sofie!! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi

This brings me to the backstory... I love that this episode shows us how Hook... back then known only as Leftenant Killian Jones, first came to Neverland along with his brother, Captain Liam Jones, and how he meets Pan for the first time. I also love learning that Hook was once a Lieutenant (or Leftenant as the title is pronounced in the British countries) within the Royal Navy from his Kingdom, and that his brother Liam was a Captain. It's so different to see Hook shown to be someone who was once happy and good at one time, living what appeared to be somewhat of a carefree life before he ever became a pirate, a villain, and Captain Hook. And again, we see a different side to his character, which I absolutely love. And then... We learn the reasons for Killian and Liam coming to Neverland, upon orders from their King to collect dreamshade for him under the lie that dreamshade has the power to heal and that they will be able to use it to save all sailors from the risk of death at sea, unbeknownst to them that dreamshade is really poison. I love seeing Killian's and Liam's first meeting with Pan, as Pan reveals the true nature of the dreamshade and taunts them by saying how ruthless their King must be. Sadly, Liam refuses to believe Pan could be right, but I absolutely love that Killian is wary of Pan's warning and that in spite of Liam's urging to trust in him, Killian senses Pan has spoken the truth. Also... I love the moment between Killian and Liam, when Killian refuses to take the dreamshade for their King, saying that while he will fight against their enemies, he will fight them fairly without cruelly poisoning them to wipe out an entire race of people as the King wants from them. I love that Killian sees through their King's deceit and refuses to follow him any longer. Showing us that Killian was truly once a man of honor, which allows for us to see that he truly still holds honor within him. Showing us so through his current actions within the present day storyline. However, Liam doesn't believe their King could possibly be so ruthless, so he foolishly chooses to prove to Killian that the dreamshade isn't poison, and sadly learns the hard way just how wrong he is, and that Pan was right all along. Liam is an idiot for being the only true gullible one among them. Unfortunately, Liam is near death and Killian must make a deal with Pan to save his life, without understanding the full consequences of doing so. Also... One line spoken by Pan to Killian within this episode that really makes me angry with Pan a little, is when Pan taunts Killian as his brother is dying, as Pan states, "Perhaps you shouldn't have goaded him into it." This taunt isn't at all true because we know Killian never goaded Liam into injecting himself with the poison. But Pan is cruelly feeding on Killian's insecurities about himself, which we could see Killian definitely had back then, so Pan could manipulate Killian into thinking that he had goaded his brother into it and that his brother's death was his fault, all in order to lure Killian into his trap. It's a small thing about this episode, but I still really love the motivations behind this single sentence. Pan makes me angry for saying it to hurt Killian, but it also gives us more to love for his character. And then... Killian uses the waters from the spring to save Liam and then calls out to Pan to give the boy whatever it was Pan might want in exchange for his help in saving Liam. However, Pan never shows back up to them. And I believe Killian would have searched for Pan as long as he could in order to repay him, as a man of honor would have done. This leads me to believe that Pan probably never appears to them again to collect, as per his plan and for the sake of his new game he's playing with Killian, who is playing quite unwittingly. Because Pan held onto the belief that he would see Killian again one day and will be able to use Liam's death to his own advantage in order to get Killian to one day work for him. And we learn that Hook had eventually come back to work for him during his two hundred years of living in Neverland. This has been Pan's long game he's been playing with Hook ever since they met. I absolutely love their encounters together within this episode. Sadly, the brothers Jones never find Pan again and therefore, Killian and Liam leave the island not knowing Liam can't leave any longer because Pan fails to tell them the true price on purpose. And in doing so, Liam dies because we learn that the waters contain the magic that heals, yet that no one once they drink from them can ever leave Neverland.

This brings us back to the moment between Hook and David in the present day, after Hook gives David the waters and warns him of the true consequences. I love how David looks at Hook in surprise by all Hook's done to save him, then accepts his help at last as he drinks the waters. And I love how David then asks Hook why he has risked so much to help him, when he believes there isn't anything for him in return, to which Hook winks at him as he cheekily answers, "I didn't do it for you, mate.", meaning that he saved David's life for Emma and to earn his respect. I love it! I absolutely love Hook's cheekiness. :) In regards to why Hook sees the necessity of his deception about going to find his brother's lost sextant in a supposed duel between Liam and Pan that never took place... David looks at Hook as he recognizes that Hook had to trick him in order to get him to go on their journey to save his life, knowing that he would have refused to take any time away from him helping his family save Henry had Hook told him the truth. Yes... the truth could have led them to saving David's life as well had David agreed, but David is far too stubborn to risk going on a dangerous quest to save his own life, knowing Henry was falling more and more vulnerable to losing hope. I really appreciate that David does recognize his mistake in being so stubborn and that by the end, he comes to trust in Hook a little. In the end of the backstory... We see Killian taking up his brother's rank as Captain, and how he swears to avenge Liam's death by taking down and destroying everything their ruthless King loves, as he becomes the pirate we know him to be even before he becomes Captain Hook. We also learn that the Jolly Roger was once known as the Jewel of the Realm under Liam's command, which I also love. I love the ferocity in Killian's voice and in his eyes as he proclaims himself and his crew pirates, and as they vow to destroy the King. And as for there being honor among thieves... Hook seeks men for his crew who will remain loyal to him no matter what. And he trusted in his men at that time that they would follow him, as he and they would have followed Liam. With honor towards each other. What a phenomenal scene!! :) And in regards to the rest of the crew immediately falling into line as they appeared to... most likely, they all were extremely loyal to their Captain, and to Killian who soon becomes their Captain. It may seem quick, but for me, it's not unheard of. And just because we might not have seen anyone refuse, it doesn't mean that everyone immediately accepted Killian's orders either. We just didn't see it onscreen if there were those who resisted. I'm sure there were rebellions and mutinies in Killian's Royal Navy days, as were in his days as Captain Hook as well. Now... I also really enjoy the scenes between Emma, Mary Margaret, Regina as they work to get a message to Henry so that he will know they've come for him. I like how they trap one of the Lost Boys in hope to convince him to help them by getting a message to Henry. Unfortunately, Emma is forced to allow Regina to rip out the boy's heart so they can force him to help them. The moment between Emma and Mary Margaret when Emma has to hold her mother back while Regina does so is very sad, but despite it being a bit evil, I still really love this moment just like you did too. And yes... I love the moment Regina tells Henry that "We love you" too. I also really like the moment between them and Henry, when Henry finally sees the truth that they have in fact come for him. It's a very powerful moment. As for my another of my favorite moments within this episode... I absolutely love the ending as David gives Hook credit for saving his life, in spite of him continuing to lie to his wife and daughter about the true circumstances as to how Hook saved him. I love that David asks for his flask to drink to Hook, as both Mary Margaret and Emma do the same, while Regina simply states. "I don't do rum" and steps away. Very funny.

Good Form- Thank you so very much for your reaction for this phenomenal episode, Sofie! I absolutely love. love, love this episode so much!!! And I really enjoyed your reaction for it too. Good Form is one of my absolute favorite episodes from season three, and easily among my favorites throughout the entire show for many reasons, but especially because of Hook's backstory that we get within it. First... If you think back to the second episode this season... Lost Girl, Emma talks about how Neverland is causing her to feel more and more lost. More like an orphan the longer she's on the island. So, yes... I do believe that the magic in Neverland is very dark, and it makes a person feel very lost and weaker. This is why Henry is slowly losing himself a little more to Pan's influence. Now... I absolutely love that we're given an even deeper backstory for my favorite character. In season two's episode... The Crocodile, it shows us how Leftenant Killian Jones becomes Captain Hook upon Rumplestiltskin cutting off Killian's hand to punish him and in the attempt to steal the magic bean from him. And if that moment wasn't phenomenal enough... Good Form now reveals to us how Killian Jones also becomes a pirate to begin with as well, like we saw him already as a pirate in The Crocodile. Absolutely fabulous and I love every moment with Hook/Killian Jones within this episode. :) But let's backtrack a little... My favorite storyline within this episode of course is Hook's, as he works to save David's life in spite of David's refusal to accept Hook's help. I also absolutely love Hook's backstory as we see how he comes to be a pirate. Any storyline centered around Hook of course is usually my favorite within any episode of course, if not always. But these storylines within Good Form really stand out to me because while we've already begun to see the good in Hook since season two's finale... And Straight on 'Til Morning, and especially since season three has begun, these storylines allow us to see a different side of Hook and to see that there's so much more to his character, than any movie or story about Captain Hook has ever allowed us to see before. And of course, while I don't condone Hook's actions in becoming a pirate and a villain, I can absolutely understand why he's done all he has in his past since becoming a pirate. Hook has lost a lot in his life, and not just his brother. Now... Hook's present day storyline begins with him trying to share a moment with Emma, in hope of revealing a little more about himself with her so that she will hopefully begin to see him as more than just a pirate. I like this moment when Hook tries to share with her that he too knows how it feels to lose hope as Emma discovered Neal had back when he also lived in Neverland. Some people who watch this episode might see Hook in this moment as someone who is trying to get Emma to feel sorry for him. But I see it as a moment where Hook is trying to create a connection with Emma that they've never really had before, aside from both of their characters being people who have been alone for most of their lives and who have shut themselves off to any real chance of love and other feelings and emotions. This was revealed about Hook back in And Straight on 'Til Morning, when Emma tries to convince Hook to give back the magic bean, which is essentially what gets him to turn his ship around and offer his services to Emma and the others to help them save Henry. But in this scene in Good Form, Hook wants her to see him as something other than just a pirate and a villain. He wishes for her to see the good in him... a man of honor, and the side of him that he believed was long ago forgotten, especially by himself. Some people might take Hook's motivations for saving David and believe they are done for more selfish reasons, because Hook wants to be with Emma. And while perhaps some of his actions might be done out of selfishness, I disagree with those who believe this about Hook. Because throughout the backstory, we see that Hook was once a really good man and truly a man of honor just like Hook referred to himself in the end to Pan. Hook has been a pirate and villain for over two hundred years, all the while living simply for the sake of gaining his revenge against Rumplestiltskin. So of course, Hook still has selfishness within him. However, him being the man of honor he had been before, in spite of Hook burying the good within him deep down so far so he could become the villain he became, doesn't just disappear either. Killian cared deeply about keeping his honor once as was shown in his refusal to follow their King's orders, especially when he stood against his own brother. That man is still within Hook, and he's been fighting hard to try to prove to Emma, as well as to David and Mary Margaret that he can still be more than just the selfish pirate he's been for so long. And while Hook might have initially saved David for Emma like he jokes about with him, I do feel that he also truly hopes to prove to David that he's more than just a pirate and hopes to gain his respect too, because of the similarities Hook sees between David and his brother, Liam. And David and Liam are very similar. And of course, Hook doesn't wish for Emma to lose her father, like she's lost Neal and still might lose her son. Not like he lost his brother, the only family he had left at this point within his backstory. And I absolutely love this about Hook. :) Now... Unfortunately for Hook, David overhears Hook's words with Emma as she pushes him away, then David is also harsh towards Hook as well when he warns him to stay away from her. Yes... David and Emma are both quite harsh towards Hook through most of this episode until the ending, and it's definitely uncalled for. But then again, to everyone Hook is still a villain and a pirate. Plus... they only know of his villainous story from the books and movies, as well as through probable rumors told of Captain Hook throughout the Enchanted Forest. So of course, no one trusts him and to be fair to them... Hook still has to prove he's worthy of their trust and as far as they all know, until the ending, he really hasn't done so aside from offering them his ship and services to help them to save Henry. And David is also being an overprotective father too, because he sees Hook as a man unworthy of his daughter's affections. So, while David's treatment of Hook throughout most of this episode is uncalled for, I can understand it to some small degree as well.

The Snow White and Ariel dresses bother me SO much!

So is this episode you said you understand and defended Snow White's secret with her having another baby. And for me this scene rubbed me the wrong way. Because from the instant Snow got her memory she has ben trying to lead Emma into this rushed mother daughter relationship, and even a few episodes back when Emma admitted to herself that she was an ophan Snow over here looked crushed. Yet what she is saying from her perspective is the same thing Emma has been saying from her end and yet the show writers didn't allow or write in any thing for Emma in the sense of expressing or showing her feeling about this secret. Im not saying Snow is wrong but if I, a viewer who has more knowledge than the characters actually involved felt like/ took as Snow was saying she wanted a replacement baby. How is the woman who has and is still carrying the emotional trauma/damage of being an ophan have no feelings or thought towards this? Like Snow's relationship with Emma is still not on stable grounds and she is saying she wants to start trying for another baby when they get back into town. Like am I missing something? I would love to hear your take.

Unpopular opinion, but in Hook’s flashback Peter Pan wasn’t really evil. He was actually trying to help believe it or not, or from the way I see it. The only bad thing that he probably did is not telling the full truth that Killian’s brother cannot leave the island

Pan's true superpower is understanding people and their motives. He knew telling the truth would still lead to the bad outcome. Which is notable when it comes to him seemingly misreading Hook in the present, since he neither kills David or withholds the Neal information.

Now... I don't really understand why David continues to lie to his family about getting wounded and poisoned by the dreamshade. I suppose it's simply still to keep his wife and daughter from knowing he was ever in danger so that they won't worry about him. However, it is a bit annoying to be honest. However, I really love how his fear to tell his wife and daughter the truth also leads to a fabulous storyline between him and Hook, and such fun banter back and forth between them throughout this episode. And I really love their scenes together. But Hook has also been trying to convince David to tell his family the truth ever since the third episode... Quite a Common Fairy, ever since he saw David get struck by the arrow back in Lost Girl. Which I love about Hook. David is trying to protect his family from any needless pain so long as he can spare them, while Hook understands how David's family will feel should they learn that David has died had his plan failed. I love it when David tells Hook to join him in search for more firewood, and I love how it leads to an argument where Hook is urging David to tell Emma and Mary Margaret the truth about him dying, as well as to Hook offering David a chance to save him. in spite of the deception Hook uses in order to get Charming there on account of recognizing how stubborn David is, just like his brother. It also leads to David trying to punch Hook as they get into an argument that results in David overexerting himself to the point of him passing out because of the poison. David most certainly is very annoying throughout this episode in the way he continues to treat Hook. Especially when he attempts to pick a fight with Hook twice, only to pass out from the poison when overexerting himself. He acts like a child, but thank goodness that Hook fails to take the bait when he is truly the bigger man both times by turning the other cheek. Good for Hook!! Then... When David wakes up, Hook has come up with a scheme to save David's life without him knowing the truth behind his deception about knowing where they can find a sextant that will help them to find a way out of Neverland. I love this and I love how Hook takes it upon himself to save David for Emma, and Mary Margaret too, because David is foolish and stubborn enough to believe he's being noble in sacrificing himself for the others. I love how this false quest leads Hook and David on Hook's true mission to save David from the dreamshade. I also love, love, love the first scene between Hook and Pan up on Dead Man's Peak. This is the first time we really get a moment that shows the rivalry between these two characters from their original story, and the movies... Disney's Peter Pan, Hook with Dustin Hoffman and Robin Williams, and Peter Pan with Jeremy Sumpter, etc... all that have stemmed from J.M. Barrie's, Peter Pan. I absolutely love the role reversal with Pan being a villain, while Hook is slowly becoming a hero... or at least as he's trying to be. This scene on the peak between Hook and Pan is brilliant, and I absolutely love the acting between both Colin O'Donoghue and Robbie Kay. They both play their roles phenomenally, in a way that no one else could accomplish for a show as phenomenal as Once Upon a Time. I love how Pan offers Hook a deal to try to bring him back to the selfish side of him Pan believes is all Hook is. I love how Pan taunts and plays games with Hook to try to lure him over to his side, by offering him a way off the island along with Emma, tempting Hook by helping him to win Emma's heart, in exchange for Hook killing David by running him through with his hook. Thankfully, Hook refuses to accept any kind of deal from Pan upon seeing right through his lies and deceptions, even though he never actually makes a final decision after Pan continues to taunt Hook a little longer. And to be fair to Hook... David does interrupt them before he has any chance to make some kind of decision. Because unfortunately for Hook, David happens to overhear their conversation as he is climbing up the peak, and David once again continues to be cruel towards Hook. I love the moment between Hook and David once they finally reach the top of the peak where the dreamshade plants originate from, as David admits to having overheard Pan offer Hook a deal, believing that Hook had brought him there to kill him. And once again, David attempts to punch Hook after threatening to push him into the dreamshade, only giving Hook the opportunity to punch him out instead. However, knowing that David has very little time left, and that Emma would never see him as a man of honor if he were to allow David to die, Hook risks his life and cuts his way through the dreamshade to reach the waters that will save David's life and heal him from the poison. And once he succeeds, Hook brings the waters back for David and warns him of the consequences that will come from David drinking from the magical spring. A warning that Pan never explained fully to Killian within the past storyline when Killian gave his brother, Liam the waters to save his life as well.

That was a trash relationship. I have more respect for Emma. He literally tells her if I knew who you are we would never have happened. Didn’t want her using her magic. Was so much of a Pussy that he found out curse was broken and didn’t bother going looking for her. Didn’t believe Emma when she pointed out the truth. Emma sure didn’t use her magic to save him in Ep 7. She didn’t even bother yelling his name. Henry was only good thing that came out of the relationship. Wait one other good thing he did sending hook to find Emma. Neal and her were never true love. It’s sickening how swanfire fans and the fellow idiot SwanQueen fans believe toxic relationships are ok.

@soixsantes I am a captain swan fan. Not a fan of your toxic ship. He was a piece of crap whose only good things were Henry existing, sending hook after Emma in nyc and dying for town. I actually love and respect Emma which no swanfire fan does. Neal literally didn’t want her using her magic, told her they’d never have been together if he knew who she really was, didn’t believe her about Tamara or love her again til after Tamara shot him then went and kidnapped Henry, was too much of a pussy to go to sb after curse broke because didn’t want to see his dad. Guess he didn’t love Emma as much as he claimed cause if he did he would not have let rumple stop him from finding Emma. Among other bs of his. Also rumple said to Emma think Of who you are trying to save when working on getting her magic to work and in ep 7 it wasn’t Neal’s name she yelled was it.

@@alyce831 You sound bitter, ** SPOILER ** which is odd considering that Emma ends up with Hook. Is it because you recognize Hook's own toxicity? I mean he's still stuck on a woman who abandoned her own child, an act in which he was complicit. Or is it because of the killing as a pirate? Or perhaps the fact that Captain Swan prevailed because of a technical forfeit on the part of Swanfire? Whatever troubles you, there's no need to post spoilers about the demise of Swanfire. Let the reactor find out when it happens.

I wanted to say the exact same thing. Sofie must rewatch Tallahassee, she didn't see what was the purpose of it, the past vs the present situation, the signs that were so obvious regarding what was planned for Emma and Killian, and also subtly written in some other episodes after that (but as she really loves Neal, it may be the reason why she didn't see what was going on and why Neal was so not for Emma, she seemed to be more focused on Neal than on Emma's psychology ;-) ). Anyway, yay for Captain Swan! :-D

Yep yeah for captain swan and she is in for a very rude awakening with swanfire. I don’t get how anyone can like that trash ship. They ignore so much him not wanting her to use her magic or saying he’d never have been with her if he knew who she really was. I love how in ep 7 hooks name was called out and not Neal’s. We all know whose life she wanted to save using the magic.
