This episode is truly the culmination of so many storylines. The sire line story was first introduced in season 3 of TVD, then resurfaced with Davina trying to find a way to undo it back in season 1 of The Originals. Now 3 seasons later we’re finally resolving the issue of our main TVD characters being linked to Klaus. This is where the writers for this series were at their peak.

Don't forget that Caroline and Damon were also Klaus' bloodline so when Davina did that Caroline and Damon also felt the pain that we felt Marcel, Stefan and Lucien

I think this was a necessary thing to happen for the sake of stakes (of the non-wooden variety). So long as the entire vampire cast of TVD was linked to Klaus, he was never in danger on the Originals (because killing him would kill half the cast of TVD). With the sire line broken, and no main vampires on the other show from any of the other siblings' sire lines, none of the Originals have plot armour any more.

It was never a doubt. Tvd confirm Stefan Damon Caroline were part of klaus sire line. Rebekah & Elijah confirmed it when they thought he died & Bonnie when she saved him.

I can tell Freya had a crush on Stefen in this episode. How does Stefen have a great chemistry with everyone? Like he had a good chemistry with Elena, Caroline, Katherine, Lexi, Rebekah, Klaus himself and now Freya as well

the bond was one of the great weaknesses of the vampiric species. what an irony that it was the witches who hated these bloodsucking perversions of the natural order that helped to break it.
