don't forget that Lily is a vampire, which means heightened emotions ... or vice versa. when she returned to little Stefan after her transformation as a gutter, she almost killed him.After deciding to break with her old life, she definitely tried to evoke feelings and memories of him and then spent 100 years with almost her new family ... and isolated from the old.All this can not but affect her!

Was it ever stated or implied that Katherine was the first girlfriend Stephan and Damon had ? Cause I’d assume they had other relationships before Katherine came along and even after before they met Elena

Just shows why damon pushes his feelings away and hides them, and hides his good deeds. Stefan is selfless but the reality is he got a chance to stay innocent and kind, while Damon got the harshness of the real world and had to mature to mask his pain and make sure Stefan isn’t hurt. I actually love this season because of that reason, that they explore the brothers more, their connection, and their pasts and what define them. In pretty sure you’re almost done with the show in real time so you’ve seen more into their backstories, plus the entire Phoenix stone eps with Damon post all of that.... it all really makes sense

I don't understand how people can't see Lily's view, it was not Lily or Stefan and Damon fault that they are like this.Lily also live her human life under an abusive husband, her and Damon are so alike, they both were never strong when they're human but being vampire change them. Lily tried to ga back for her sons but because of the hunger she can't, she was afraid that she might eat her own sons so she fled and fake her own death. And in that journey she met someone new and they all spend together almost two centuries, of course she would love them more instead of her own sons. In this story, I think the Salvatore brothers are wrong, they never tried to understand Lily's perspective, they just assume she would abandoned someone whom she spent almost two centuries with..... And It was kinda Damon and Bonnie fault, they should've respect the deal Stefan Caroline and Matt were made, they were not there but Stefan Caroline and Matt was there.

The vase theory is wrong, becuz when Stefan was 17 (turing 18)Damon was 28 so their age gap is 10...So, when Damon was 10 Stefan wasn't even born or he was just an infant
